Many people want to make money with Amazon Affiliate Program but they don't know how and because of this reason I started this thread to help them. Below you can find how to get started and more!

As you can see you get up to 10% advertising fees(commissions) the truth is this guys, actually new affiliates start earn 4% commissions, once a certain number of sales is made the percent grows to 8% and that's it.

Don't despair now, people still make huge money promoting Amazon products, now to catch a higher commission that add up quickly you either need high traffic to a product that has a small commission or target products from where you get higher commission. Sound logic so far, now let's dig deeper!

1. Website + Product Reviews / Recommendations
You have to start a website and make reviews to certain Amazon products.

a. buy domain - domain name for your website should be keyword based, not too long, easy to remember, you can use domain promo codes to get it very cheap first year.
b. web hosting - you need to buy web hosting to be able to develop your website and cost could be max 10 dollars per month
c. Install WordPress, and you end up with a blog, easy to manage, post reviews to any products with jet speed
d. Join Amazon Affiliate Program and choose any product you want, trending products are best ones, also products with big discount, those during holidays, people buy on holidays with bulk and you end up with a nice fat commission.
e. All you've made so far was a 2-3 days work, suppose you post 10 reviews at least, now the hard part, you have to promote your website, without visitors you're going to make a bunch of nothing ZERO $$$, for this I recommend you digest Search Engine Optimization section.

Once you learn how to make on-page SEO and off-page SEO your affiliate account should be near to threshold cashout limit and that's because your website receive traffic from engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo.

The real journey begins from here, you know everything all you need is time to research and post compelling reviews every time, make people buy those products, keep an eye on amazon best selling products, improve your SEO, as you know SEO is changing and you must change too otherwise traffic from engines stop and your commissions stop too.

Amazon affiliate program takes a lot of hardwork for too little things. I do understand the part where the amazon affiliate program can work out though. Like say if you have some product review page, then you can get amazon links on it. And it does make you random money. But if you have enough traffic then it can definitely convert after some time.

I think most of the sales comes from review sites, because most people search for product reviews before buying, more chances for conversion of traffic. Concentrate on one niche which you have more knowledge.

I think it's just not niche but the percentage on the amazon that makes sense. Because some products have like 1% or 5%of the affiliate returns. So if you promote the low cost products, there is less chance of the returns for the reviews. So it's better to invest into the the product site that can earn something decent say 4% min of the amazon product.

Amazon affiliate is a legit one and I highly recommend it for those that needs to try out affiliate marketing program.i know the con is low commission but it still worth the try because it is legit

I signed up just the other day & plastered the ad's all over 1 of my websites. I got a semi high amount of traffic and so far I've seen nothing reflect in my balance.

anyone know how long it takes to earn your first earning's?

it will take long my brother, one needs to buy from your website through those ads you plastered on it, so if it's a forum, i think you need to build first it's forum membership, so they will click and buy.

It sounds good but from reading the comments, it seems strict to just get approved on their website. I have tried to sign up on max bounty and ClickBank but I got rejected and I don't even know why. So does anyone think it is worth to try and sign up for amazon affiliate website?

One of the reasons I do not consider venturing into Amazon affiliate marketing is because the commission is very low. I prefer the likes of clickbank and digistore24 because of their high commission.

Clickbank actually do not accept people from certain parts of the world. Max bounty on the other hand, requires you to be an experienced marketer before acceptance.

But this is what I do not always understand if they are giving us 70% profit from the amount of money we have sold the product then what is the company's profit from this money do you really think the 30% they will be taking his enough ?

Their profit is not really the business of an affiliate. If you make a product and wants it to be promoted by affiliates. Let's say you put the selling price at $50, then you can put it at $150 for affiliates. Whenever they make sale, they get extra money then $50 becomes yours.

Ok I understand, because I always wondered how they have been able to make profit from this because it is almost impossible for them to make profit if the original price of the product is just $100 then an affiliate marketer will go home with 80 or 70%.

I had even come across a product that has hundred percent commission on clickbank and I wondered how the vendor will really make profit from it. So they actually know how they can get profit from every product.

Lolz, I believe in this case they are not really interested to make profit but they are looking forward on how they can expose their product to thousands of people, they will even make it very cheap so that affiliate marketers can also sell at cheap price for more people to know about the products.

Yeah definitely you might actually be right on this. Some people are looking for ways in which they can expose their products to people. They are not you actually interested in making profit at that particular period of time.
