Do you have a YouTube channel where you upload your valuable and interesting videos? Find out you can turn your hobby into a good pastime by going the monetization route. It will help motivate and encourage you to even do more. If you have been looking at how to make money with your videos, then use these practicable ways:

Be a YouTube Partner: simply verify our account and then enable monetization, then apply for traditional Google Adsense account from Google company if you don't have one so that ads will show on your channel and you'll be getting paid when you reach the minimum 70 euros every month by Check, bank transfer or Western Union Transfer.

Be a seller or a youtubepreneur: You can buy anything cheap online and sell it on your channel to make a profit. You could advertise any item on your YouTube channel to sell from digital to physical items. You could just upload some review or a tutorial about the items and get people to buy for your profit.

Be an affiliate to affiliate programs: you can drive traffic to your affiliate sites through your affiliate link inserted into your YouTube channel description. You would make a commission if it was a sale site like Amazon.com or Clickbank or CJ Affiliate by Conversant (formerly Commission Junction).

Become Brand's influencer: Business owners are always looking out for ways and means to get their products out there, of course, they can't do it alone, then you can snap up the opportunity of approaching them with your channel to help advertise and influence your subscribers to buy their products for a fee. You can make a lot of money this way alone.

Sell your content to make money: Do you make videos that go viral, and then you can make money with them. Sell them if the media companies approach you to purchase them or ask for a license to use them for a fee but if none approaches you, you can list them on a marketplace like the juken media, where your video can be seen by many users to patronize you.

Donations from your users: if your videos are quite useful and valuable to your users, they might want to reward you for a job well done, so always put up good videos for your users. This could be achieved through YouTube fan funding, patronizing and by tipeee.

How do you make money with your YouTube channel? share it

Well... I guess you're talking about YouTube Partner Program. This program allows you to monetize your videos, only original videos uploaded on YouTube that comply with YouTube terms are eligible for monetization. Just in case you use parts of someone's video you must have written permission otherwise once discovered you're stealing others people content you'll be banned.

Make HD Videos + Upload on YouTube = $$$

Hi,

There is a lot of ways to make money on Youtube, but the key thing is to have quality videos and to have really high views. Then you can monetize your account with any of the below:

- Running Google Adsense through Google Partner program.
- Using Paid Subscription features of Youtube to provide unique content to paying subscribers.
- Getting paid to publish sponsored videos.

Some people have the aptitude for good videos, they are creative such that they get regular viewers. And since youtube videos are now monetized, how much can a single video earn from having 1,000 views? Getting that number of views in a month is very possible so if you have 20 videos then you can easily get 20,000 views and I guess that would already amount to something.

I am posting this question because I had read an article about a couple with a youtube channel where they post their home videos and that has become their livelihood.

I know lots of YouTubers who solely depend on their channel for their income. One of which is Say Tioco Artillero, which is a local beauty guru. All she does is do vlogs everyday and per each video she can get at least 4,000 views. Aside from that, she also has some sponsors for some videos. I don't know if this is right though but I remember that 1,000 views = 1 dollar. Correct me if I'm wrong though! So everyday that she uploads a video, she can earn four dollars from it. Or is that too small? Lol. I don't know exactly the amount. Haha.

Anyway, another one I know of is itsjudyslife, which is a family channel. With their videos, they can get about 300,000 views for each and they upload daily. Imagine that, $300 a day! Pretty cool, right? And all they have to do is film themselves, edit it and upload it. Some of their videos even reach a million views!

Actually I read an article very recently that explains that youtubers don't make that much money anymore, here's the link if you're interested in reading. I think the youtube era will be ending soon, especially because there are new and less consuming ways to share content and get media attention more easily (Vine, for example).

Yeah, you can make YouTube your job. I've had a lot of subscriptions on YouTube where the channel owners admit that their job is YouTube. And most of them stream as well, using Twitch.tv as their streaming platform. One YouTube/Streamer I know of, is earning $18k - 20k dollars a year. His channel is not even that big of a channel or stream.

It depends. A close friend of mine has his own YouTube channel and create monetized content. He showed me some of his videos earn 10 cents per thousand views, while some earn 2 dollars. His channel is gaming, PC and technology related and is not that big of a channel. He only has 450 subscribers. So other channels could earn more per thousand views.

Youtube has currently the potential to bring in 5 billion in advertising revenue. How much one can make depends on several factors. Youtube Partners can generate a cent per view. It might look like a negligible amount but if your videos are interesting, of good quality or they become viral, you can generate hundreds of thousands of views in a short time. Youtube takes 45% slice of the advertising revenue. Most partners can earn between $0.3 to $2.5 CPM to $10 CPM depending on type of content they publish. The top 100 channels can earn $23,000 a month.

@spence88, thanks very much for the encouragement. My husband makes videos that are mostly humorous and with a soundtrack using his compositions. He said that those videos are meant to give his songs some exposure. He has one video with 200k views. Unfortunately, it was not monetized yet at that time. He started monetizing his youtube videos only last year. As of todate he has earned $3 only. I am trying to push him to make youtube a career because I think he is creative enough to come up with good videos.

Wow Corzhens, that's a very interesting story...I hope it all goes well with your goal, although $3 is not that much, it shows that it's a possibility within your grasp, so you guys should not give up, all the best! :)

I dont think that its a money per view system, though I might be wrong on that. I thought it was about how you "reach out" to your advertisers. I remember that someone who very little views bragged about how rich he was (well, "rich") because he was good at reaching out to advertisers.

It's a real pity that he didn't monetize his video sooner. If he could get all those views from one video I am sure he can do it again.

YouTube is a great place to share video content on a variety of topics. I was hoping to learn more about the financial aspect of it in this thread. I haven't tried yet, but one of my author clients is starting her author coaching business there. Another friend uploads crochet how-to videos. And after Gang Nam Style did so well for that Korean guy, whose dad was already rich, some friends shared a parody video that some Pentecostal girls had done, which was doing rather well. I would love to make YouTube my primary stream of revenue, if I had more guidance on it.

No problem, I'm glad to help. Pity he didn't monetize that video, could have made $100 or more. Anyway, I with you luck with your endeavors. Would love to watch some of his videos in the future.

It depends on the location of your viewers. Viewers from western countries will help you generate more income. The average CPM is $2/1000 views. The money will also depend on the ratio of impression and clicks. If your ad receives more click, you can earn up to $6-$7/1000 views. I have a channel with decent amount of viewers and I make around $40-$50/month.

I'm just wondering how Google or YouTube detects intentional clicks from the uploader himself. I mean, will it count if you use another laptop/pc/smartphone to view your own video and click ads? If you have many of those devices and keep clicking ads on your video everyday, then you'll probably even beat the earnings PTC sites offer.

Earnings from YouTube varies from $0,50 to $5 per 1k impressions. It really depends on your niche and visitors location.

Yeah, I was going to say this. Most people will get $1 or $2 per 1000 views. But you have to remember that it is very dependent on the topic if your videos. Think about your video, does it target an audience that is very interested in a particular item that is sold a lot on places like Amazon. If your video is about an item that is very frequently bought on the internet, or has a high sale price, you will earn more than other stuff. For instance, content about politics pays very little.

YouTube itself doesn't pay that much, considering earnings are solely based on ads. Youtubers earn most thanks to partnerships with famous brands or companies (for example, a lot of gaming channels get payed by software houses to promote their games), which also works for similar websites like Twitch.
Making a living out of Youtube ads alone is really difficult, if not straight down impossible (by the time you get hundreds of thousands of views on your videos, you'll most likely already have a good partnership).
