I use LetsEncrypt free SSL, no problems so far. I highly recommend it!

There are plenty of tutorials for the lets encrypt. I can tell you from my experience you can easily set it up. And if you have wordpress blog then setup is even more easier with lets encrypt. You can watch youtube tutorials for more information.

I'd also recommend checking out with your host if they offer it. As of now not many hosts are offering lets encrypt. This is so that they want to make money from it.

Its a shared hosting environment so I think they wont supprt SSH comands.

Note: You do not have a dedicated IP address. As a result, web browsers that do not support SNI will probably give false security warnings to your users when they access any of your SSL websites. Not true. I have shared hosting account at Hawkhost. And I can access SSH terminal just fine. For Windows I have to use PuTTy client. That client allows you to use SSH commands from special termainl on windows. It works and I have tried it. You can too just ask your host about that.

Their is SSH option in our hosting package, but forgotten to see will give a try tomorrow and I was looking to migrate from Drupal to wordpress

Today I tried to connect Putty, but it says access denied, I was using putty longback and now forgotten totally. Can you let me know how to connect it?

Yes, Let's Encrypt is 100% legit SSL, we use it as well on BeerMoneyForum.com, it can be enabled for free from WHM cPanel.

Yes, there are many companies providing SSL, they come with different features but if you don't conduct sales, I mean if you don't ask people to insert their card details to purchase from your site you don't need PREMIUM SSL.

Thank you but how do I activate it on my domain name because I registered with StartSSL but I could not activate it

Thank you for sharing this. I'm not a website owner at the moment, however this will definitely come in useful if I ever decide to own a forum, blog or site again. It's great to know I can keep my site 100% encrypted with a free SSL certificate.

Your host should that free SSL certificate otherwise you need to switch another host. Make sure to check all these things before buying such things and they can't be refundable.

Is the web hosting company gonna be ok with me getting this service elsewhere?
