Yes! you can get some cash by trading your tokens if you are really lucky to join the good ones and sell the token at the right time.
It's more like investing for the future, the only difference is that it does not require money but like every investment there are good ones and bad ones (currently there are alot of bad ones).
This thing takes time and at the end of the day most are not even worth the effort.

Airdrops! just like it sound is like free coins falling from this sky.... Lol!
it does not require you pay any money. At times you might be asked to complete some easy social tasks before you will be eligible to get your coins/tokens e.g Linking on Facebook, Following, Tweeting etc.

Note that if the token is an ERC20 token, after getting your token in your wallet you will need to have some Ethereum in order to pay for gas fee before you can send your token to exchanges for trading..

There is also another version of airdrop called selfdrop which require you to pay very little fee (normally gas fee) in order to get your token.

First you download a ERC20 compatible wallet for Airdrops , this is also ETH wallet , but not that old ETH , both are same , but you need to pay gas when smart contracts or done or while creating DAPPS ( decentralised apps ) or creating tokens called ICO ( initial coin offerings ) I use Trust wallet and meta mask for storing my Airdrops.

Well first do not use the normal eth wallet use an ERC20 wallet address so you can receive a token at the end of airdrop.

I do not suggest collecting airdrops as a way to earn cryptocurrency. Many airdrop coins turn scam after a while, and they also require tedious identity verification in order for you to recieve your coins.

I think the best approach you can make use of the airdrops. and then distribute them and in exchange ask the currency owners as a influencer fee. And that means you have to act as an influencer. So it all depends on how you market the airdrops and then make money off them as influencer or even you can exchange it for another token or currency.
