Hello, I am just a student studying some PHP, HTML and CSS. Do you think I can earn some money with my knowledge in web development? I also know some basics in database, c# and Java. I tried to post a gig in Fiverr but they rejected my gig. Anyone can help? It will be appreciated :)

Well I don't understand too why I am rejected. I said in my gig description that I am newbie and currently studying php, html and css.

If you are a good web developer then you can sell your skills on fiverr for 5$ or you can work on long term projects on freelancing sites (There are many just google). Or you can make sites and sell them on marketplace.

You could look for a job in upwork.com. But you need to show the clients that you really have the skills they are looking for a freelancer. Try to add some skills like javascript/jquery, or wordpress theme customization. It is a big advantage if you have developed a website that you can show to them. If you have not develop yet a website for other people, try to create your own website. Most clients in upwork and other freelancing websites looks for proofs. Creating a youtube video that showing your skills in web development I think would also help. If you could create a video tutorial on web development and upload it on youtube, try to do so.

Try upwork, saw a lot of job oppurtunities ther abou your skills, also try freelancer.com too.. you have to make a proposal or a videos so that the chance of you getting a job is high. And make your profile presentable put some important details there.

Register with freelancing sites like people per hour and fiverr. Work your way up and you will make money from your skills. Provided you follow your clients instructions and deliver your work in a timely manner it won't be hard to work on those two platforms. All the best.

You will always make money if you have website development skill. All you have to do is find a forum that discusses website creation. They are all over the websites. Find the one that has over 5000 user and you are in the money. Good luck.

Yes,there are many persons on those freelancing sites. On Fiverr be prepared to work hard. You have to build up a good reputation there ,to prove your skills, and after that you will receive many orders, and you can get much more earning opportunities.Persistence is the key.

Fiver rejecting your gigs doesn't mean. you can't try again, just make the gig more marketable, with your skills and proper planning you will earn handsomely on fiver and other freelancing sites

If you are a good web developer you can try to apply in various freelance sites. And I think this is what will give you a good income. I salute to you because you have a skills like that. I think it is one of the indemand work when it comes in online world.

I know that you have to be persistent, and to not give up on every site, where you want to be active.I was waiting on Fiverr a long long time ,but after passing several months,I didn't have the patience to keep insisting.I know there are many other members, who are successful on this site.

I'd say go after the local and the online clients. they can pay some decent rates for the options to learn. I have seen people making use of the skills on the freelancing site. and it seems to be earning good for many. it does however make you think that website development skills take time for many of us. I personaly think that earning money online is not going to be easy though. that is for sure.

Yes,if you are smarter and you are offering more valuable services, than other people do.In this case you will have success.Just pay attention to offer something different than others do.First make a little research online to see which services are in demand.

True. but then again it is more of a game of supply and demand. each one of have to consider about that. it's not going to be some kind of easy game with freelancing. you have to look for the new client every now and then. that cycle itself changes the things around.

They rejected you because you mentioned that you're a newbie and undergoing training in PHP, HTML and CSS. They prefer experienced web developers over newbies. But, don't worry there are many freelancing websites where you can show your skills. My sincere advice is please don't focus on money now. Build few web applications first and then get into these freelancing websites. It is important to have some hands on experience for web development.
