If you are conversant with Trustwallet , you should know that one can be able to change the gas price charged or processing transaction. The issue then is that most times when the gas price is reduced to a certain amount , the transaction is either cancelled or takes time to process.

What is the way to determine the lowest gas price used within the past minutes for setting ones transaction within that range ?

I don't think there's really any way to do that. I know that during some hours of the day, like early morning or weekends, gas fees are usually lower because of less congestion.

I prefer using coins with low fees than tampering with the gas fees. I would also like to know if there is a limit to which one can reduce the gas fee and still have a successful transaction.
But this means sometimes that you need to change the coin to another with low fees and there are exchange fees and spread

That is right but sometimes even those fees to add up to the transaction fees of those core coins like ETH and btc. There are times I just swap from btc to LTC or trx to carry out transactions.

Yeah that's why all the time I am looking for a multi coin valet that's not rip one off with transaction fees

I always convert coins with high fees to coins which need low fees like ltc, bch and doge etc. Also start transaction in morning time for low fees.

Simply use crypto coin with faster transfer speed and a wallet with low fee. Litecoin, bitcoin cash and ripple are the best when it comes to transfer speed. New local exchanges usually have pretty low fee to attract new users to their platform. You can use this to your advantage.

I always have a way of doing it because there is no way you can accurately determine the lowest gas fee. It is either I do transaction with some coins that have less gas fee or most time I do transact early in the morning or late in the night when there won't be much congestion which can make the transaction to be canceled.

Well, I don't know how to determine low gas fee because presently, I use Binance pay, Litecoin and Bitcoin cash where the gas fee are relatively low compared to other alternatives, and I save my coins there. Some exchange services do offer exorbitant high gas fee, which is even greater than the money you accumulate.

I don't use Trust wallet, so maybe it's time to change to other wallet? I very rarely pay for gas, electricity, and other expenses using crypto as I am still using fiat for my daily purchases and for paying various bills. Not to mention, here crypto is still hasn't penetrated that far, so most vendors still only accept fiat.

Well, although I also do make use of trust wallet but I haven't made use of that option and it won't be a bad idea if am to learn how to make these manipulations but the truth is that, it's better you make your transactions with coins that naturally do have a low transaction fee than trying to reduce the transaction fee by yourself.
I guess there are some coins in the cryptocurrency market that you can make or receive transactions with a low fee for that. So consider using this method rather.

Before you pick any fee to use ,I think you should check the app very well the amount of time the transaction would take place ,if it's actually going to be faster or not , because I know that if it's faster then it's going to take much more gas fee or transaction fee from you it's noticable
