Why is Namecheap so cheap compared to others like Bluehost? I was looking at it yesterday and Bluehost's price goes up so much unless you actually buy 3-year plan... but with Namecheap, it's actually really not expensive.

Also, if you buy the basic Namecheap, you can still install WordPress on it, right?

That's the first mistake all newbies do, they overthink about monetization when they should think how to bring that traffic, so at first build the site then post as much content as you can to get some traffic.

I've had my blog for few months. I learned how to setup on my own. Having that niche, just to name the blog was enough. However watching you tube and facebook tutorials. Just build a blog or a website with a topic that you're gonna passionate about to update. If you (only) think about "how to monetize" it on a first place, you're just gonna wasting your time. You'll have to put writing as your daily basis. CMIIW

yes that was my mistake 4 years ago I kept creating too many blogs (in weebly) without focusing on how to get organic traffic that I resorted to traffic exchange sites then used paid shortening urls to monetize plus I did not focus creating a good niche except for one blog before (but was taken down by weebly maybe because of that shortening url) and almost failed every time I applied for google adsense, it was only this year that I got approved by adsense at least updating my blog did the trick even without a paid domain as our admin mentioned you can start with blogspot as I did.

Maybe this is the answer to my long time wait. I've been blogging for about a year but seems luck is not on my side. I don't really have that much of traffic on my site. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Hope this will help me improve.

You use the wordpress script with your namecheap hosting account, you no longer need your wordpress.com account or blog.

You can place any ads you want after setup, anyways you will not earn nothing because you need to focus first on posting articles and do SEO to receive the traffic which can be later monetized.
