I've seen huge youtube videos being sponsored by a lot of platforms such as skillshare and even softwares such as express VPN, do these companies contact the youtubers or the opposite ? How can this be done ?

Sponsors have to be contacted by us. The good sponsors often have a list of candidates looking to get sponsored. Your uniqueness with youtube videos to get connected to more crowd and if you already have it... will add up the possibilities to get sponsored sooner.

i noticed the same, youtubers literally start advertising and promoting products once their videos start getting viral, so i thought the same, companies choose them and not the opposite

if you are a really good and famous youtuber those companies will find their way to your channel but if you are not you must contact them
if you contact them, in this position you can't really make a good deal of it and you can't argue about the price they give you

Finding a particular sponsor isn't easy and nor the specific type of sponsors. In that case, you may loose the extra income that you may make by welcoming other varieties of sponsors (because I see maximum of the youtubers have come up on this platform just to make money, the prior intention)
So, It's better to welcome any sponsor you find in the beginning... And keep looking for your specific sponsors too.

I don't think he need to welcome any sponsor, some sponsors has a shady business going on if he want to run his chnnale and keep hist fans he need to search about companies who ask him to make an AD for them

I think the company monitors YouTubers and decide the YouTuber to go for based on how the YouTuber channel is, the quality of video produced and the number of users

It depends on the company, but usually, you will have to apply, and meet a certain list of requirements. However, in certain cases they may just give you an affiliate link and let you go as you please with however you want to advertise them

Its a marketing strategy and everyone wants to identify with success. If you have a trending YouTube video, these companies will contact you for sponsorship, knowing that it will be a win-win for both of you in terms of profit.

Its all about your content
If your content is good enough and you niche is perfect for them they will contact with you
or, If you have a service that needed to many companies then you mail them
Like you have many visitors who using air cooler
Then you can mail a air cooler service or making company that
I have a great audience that might help your company
Thats how its works

True but is done by companies that already have fame such as betting companies, they easily give out affiliate links to anyone upon request and pays the user upon successful sign up

That's true too. Especially sites like CJ Affiliates & ShareASale that allow you to sign up with tons of different companies like Rebook, who most of the time pay by the sale (usually at least 5%)

It is two things. You either have huge subscribers to your YouTube channel. If your subscribers is huge. Companies will come after you to sponsored there products.
And if you have connections with the companies. You can connect with them

Your YouTube channel has to be popular before you can get sponsors. It's actually marketing because those sponsors support you in exchange for marketing their brands. They usually prefer popular channels.

I have no experience with Youtube but with my Instagram, which I suppose is still somewhat similar, I used to send messages to companies directly.
Actually at least around 25% of answered.
Most provided me with free products and affiliate link.
Also got few paid sponsorships from various sites for influencers.
I just googled terms "influencers needed" etc to find sites that connect influencer and company.

You can actually bring sponsors by actually contacting them , they would probably choose to run ads with you when they see that your YouTube account is actually more with followers and others and it would be beneficial

It's called outbound reach. You can approach them by contact them appropriately via their email or phone. Although you need to have good copywriting skill to get they attention.

  1. Build your audience: The larger your audience, the more attractive your channel will be to potential sponsors. Focus on creating high-quality content that resonates with your target audience, and engage with your viewers through comments, likes, and other interactions.
  2. Make your channel look professional: Make sure your channel's banner and profile picture are professional-looking, and that your channel is easy to navigate. You may also want to invest in high-quality video equipment and editing software to make your videos look polished and professional.
  3. Then put your email address to contact you.

Sponsors contact youtubers with good number of subscribers and lot of views
They pay well to youtubers for mentioning them in videos
These days even shorts video makers and instagram reel makers get lot of sponsorship.
Create a good channel and wait for 100K subscribers and more, then sponsor will come to you automatically

  1. Build a loyal and engaged audience: Sponsors want to reach a specific target audience, so focus on growing and engaging your community with high-quality content that resonates with them.
  2. Establish your niche: Focus on creating content that aligns with a specific niche, this helps potential sponsors understand your
