I started to look for websites ta pay you to do tasks and this type of things a few weeks ago. So far I've done around 10 dollars, mostly at microworkers. Have you found any website that pays you a good amount of money to do simple tasks, how much did you make so far?

As of now? Not a lot, but that's mainly because I haven't really been putting in the work. If you don't need to work consistently or you already have a job to cater to, then lighter, and more passive forms of working will get you money eventually. Since it seems like you're looking to work a lot and make money out of it, I'd insist on you sticking to what you do. However, if you want to try, there are a lot of transcribing jobs around that companies and websites offer. Rev.com is well known, but it is pretty hard to get in there, and even for people who do well in the test, they can be denied from joining without word. If you can type fast and can get in, certain transcription sites such as transcribeme and so on (you'll need to ask more on pricing around where you live and what work you're doing, or research). I haven't made any good money in a short amount of time, but there are some services such as mTurk (microtask site), which, if you work hard on and can do the jobs they provide, will get you quite a bit of money. The catch is, I guess, that you're limited to only being able to join if you live in the US.

Very good question, but I'll be frank and say that I have not made a substantial amount of money online. The money I have made online comes from different sources (which I will mention in relevant threads), for which I appreciate because I have tried countless times with a lot of "money making" methods to make money online, but to no prevail!

One thing I realized is that I need to put a lot of effort into this to see good results, especially because I am still a rookie in the online market place, but as time continues, I gain more knowledge, because I have not given up on this endeavor to make money online, and I suggest that you too should not give up, we can all accomplish this goal!

I still have to make a lot of money since I am not a veteran yet. But my husband had earned maybe $500 already for his sojourn in the internet. He's been into it as a hobby for a year already and I think he can earn more if he works full time. Besides, he also has a blog that earns him a pittance since it is not being updated. Maybe when I retire from my office job, I would make online earning a full time job so I can be rich.

While it's true that there is money to be made by working online, your not going to make a fortune unless you have the right skills.

Website design, freelance writing or creative design are just a few areas that you can make a substantial amount of money, but if your talking about microworkers, fiverr or the survey type sites, your not going to be able to make substantial sums, that's for sure.

I started online work at the end of January this year and have made over 50$ so far.
I do not actually work everyday because I am a university student and have a lot of school work. I do it when I am free and can make up to 10$ per day if I put my mind to it.

The thing is though, $10 a day isn't going to make you rich and when you work out how many hours it takes you to earn that $10 then you start to wonder is it actually worth doing after all.

I´ve made a full-time living for about 6 years, mainly be writing articles/blogs and then having Google Adsense on my site. I do other small projects just because I have a few hours of commute each day.

People ask me how I make enough to survive just from my blogs.. and the answer is easy. Enjoy the topic you are writing about and be more concerned about the content you are creating, the money will come afterwards. Too many people try to write about ´hot topics´ that they really don´t care about, and it just leads to predictable results. Write about things you have passion about and things you are expert about.

I did illustration commissions last year, working around a few hours a week, and made over $1,000 in 2015. Well over.
My work is relatively professional compared to my competition, and I happen to work extremely quickly- the problem being that it just about sucked the life out of me because it was so boring.

This year is going well thus far, I'm throwing a bunch of things against the wall to see what sticks and I'm just starting a bunch of new projects. My rule of them is no never spend time doing something that is less than $10 an hour, because that 'realistic' estimate usually gets cut down to $7.50 an hour by the time it's all said and down, and any lower than that and you might as well go get a job at McDonalds.

I have been making money online since 2012 and it is almost impossible to say how much I have earned until today. However, I can give information on how much I made last month or what is my target for this month. I have a history of making $700 in a month.

To really make money online, you either have to diversify what you do to where you're able to make a certain amount per hour, or you can dedicate a specific amount of time with specialized work to justify paymet for the same. Having several avenues always helps, but you can do it either way.

If you have extended skills you can be ok by running your own sites, blogs, and advertising...but you have to have a good amount of quality content, SEO, and other things in your corner in order to be successful at that. And of course, make sure your advertisement network support is easy to be monetized and modular.

I can't recommend Google Adsense, but I hope it lasts for those who decide to use it. For many professionals, it hasn't been reliable to say the least. Fortunately, there are many other alternatives (even if they don't pay as well).

Over the years I've made several hundreds of thousands of dollars online, but all from different things ranging from programming to web development to sales, promotions, and other directions that yielded well while the window of opportunity existed.

Okay, so far since I started working online, the most I can do a day is $20. And that's with transcription sites that I already abandoned. Now, the most I can do is $7 or maybe $10 if I spend like 10 hours online. That's right, it's almost like 1 dollar per hour of work. But comparing it to our minimum wage, that's still better than what most people earn here. And to think I can work in my own home, that's enough for me as well.

I cannot really remember just how much money I've made already since I started working online. But that's the gist of my everyday earnings. And to be honest, that's already enough for me as long as I can do some work and not get bored at home. Plus, it certainly helps to pay the bills that we have. So...not complaining here! Haha!

Direct and simple answer: :D NOT ENOUGH! :D

I know that feeling very well @I. C. Daniel haha. Then again having said that how much is actually enough? I won't pretend I take working from home too seriously, if I did I can probably make a lot more than I do now.

I have a regular 9-5, 5 days a week job and so I just do the odd bit of work online as and when I can. If I can make a million dollars (doing anything) then I can retire and never have to work again...That's just a pipe dream though unfortunately!

Just wondering, which sites do you use? Right now I really only use Swagbucks, and I can barely make money off that. I keep spending 10 minutes on surveys just for them to tell me I don't qualify.

@pwarbi I'm working 24/7 on my million dollar dream, and that's because sometimes I have dreams about it :D

I think it sounds like you and me have the same sort of ambitions my friend!

I've been working towards making money for a slightly different reason though maybe. I want to start a program getting homeless people off the streets and helping them gain the necessary qualifications needed to get them into work.

I myself was at that rock bottom place in my life and I needed a helping hand to get where I am now, so I want to do the same for others.

With sites like swagbucks, while you can make a bit of money your not going to get rich. What sort of skills have you got? Instead of just using sites like survey sites, could you use writing sites or sites like fiverr, that way you could offer a service to others and get paid?

I use InboxDollars, Postloop, YouGov, CashPoints and iWriter sometimes. I am not a member of Swagbucks since it is not available for my country. Anyway, you can try the sites I recommended above. I'm certain you can make at least two dollars a day in them. With survey sites, they're just not that lucrative unless you are a member of different survey sites. You cannot really make money off of Swagbucks if you're not from the US or UK. Good luck!
