In most cases Africa is sidelined in many developmental issues and technology,to the extent that almost if not all countries are categorised as tier 3 or "third world".Now is this the case with what it offers in profits to the developed countries? COULD IT BE TRUE THAT THE LEAST REVENUE(GDP) GENERATED BY THESE TOP CLASS WORLD WIDE COMPANIES COMES FROM AFRICA VIS A VIS IS AFRICA THE LOWEST PERFORMING ECONOMY IN THE WORLD?

In a nation where there are enough funds to stop overdependence on goods from the Western countries, only the leaders can be blamed. Nigerian leaders are so selfish and they will continue to be dogs to the western countries while the people wallow in poverty. Africa has so much potential but the leaders gifted them to westerners.

No dispute, Africa is great and blessed but we are been ruled by old and cursed leaders that see challenges/critics as attack. The underdevelopment is still the fault of the so called leaders that never create a platform for brains to thrive.
Laugh, your words shows you're a true African man you really know what's going wrong around Africa. Africa can only be great again if we have good leaders tommorow and not this cursed ones occupying political seats.

The only best way is to sort of come up with the united states of Africa and try to strategically list how we can create infrastructure and policies that will help Africa level up.

We need to be self-sufficient in key areas including governance within Africa and away from the western world.

And of the western world want to associate with us and that is doing business should therefore make like the ones to benefit more than them. It

I remember years back we were growing up and been fooled by "We are the leaders of tomorrow". The leaders then are still leaders today and how do you expect magic from expired men.

Laughs, such kind of adage here on my country is a long forgotten one, the old forks remains the leaders today. They aren't allowing the light shine, we are still in the tunnel of their bad rulership.

That is the problem brother...you will come out to say that you've gained independent but on the guise you are been colonized when you have all it takes to stand as a nation.

The independence we've achieved is like mirage cos we aren't doing anything justifiable to prove that we are independent country, cos we aren't improving overall.

We don't patronize indigenous products but rather buy the imported. How then do we grow?. We lack promotional spirit of what we produce.
In our forest lies the trees of all sizes but we buy China made "Toothpick".
Slave things..

Lol, the control is simply confused, they have no direction, and indecision is simply part of them. They aren't thinking the way forward to clean the country to reduce high cost of living.

How shameful it is for a electric distribution company to be using generator to run their offices.
A lot have went wrong and to control it is something that won't be an easy ride because everybody is somehow corrupt.

Assume we went on the lock down how then could we have still continued to still bet these imports.I hope we demand for a halt in the importation of these western products and services.

We need to identify the driver's of the economy sectors and invest in them to be locally available. The blame game will not make is achieve anything.

The current USA trip by all African heads of state to discuss the challenges faced due to covid19 on the united nations platform should also address the self sustainability agenda.

I think these western countries are still benefiting from Africa as most of their products and technology are being sold here in Africa. The phones we use, the computers and all that, they are shifted to Africa and I read some time back that africa was the largest consumers.

That's very pathetic, our country gives out constant electricity to other nation simply using small power generator they isn't stable as source of electricity.

Wow, I wish you could have a screenshot of that posted in this group. I know at one point Africa was one of the largest traders in crypto currency and that is recent data. Now to get that data that it is the largest consumer of electronic products is mesmerizing.

Please, which is your country?.
The west brought us education and Exams but employ based on what you can do not what your certificate states.
We now takes certificate to be of importance over brain but forgot that results can be bought.
I must state that the 59% of unemployed are better than the employed.

You spoke wisely dear, 59% of unemployed graduates or skilled are better off than the employed ones in the working department. I'm simply a Nigerian dear.

A country that an Agricultural graduate will be heading an infrastructural department. Where a medically inclined person will be working in a bank thus making undergraduates to have this mentality of "make i graduate first".
It pains to say i am a Nigerian. I am a DOT.

I think all countries benefited from each other. It all depends on relationship. If there are good relationship between the countries there must be a great trade and employment opportunity and investors always pays attention to their market.

The topic states how much?.
As an African, using myself as an instance. Do you Know that all of the stuff I own, 80% are imported items.
It is a problem. The jeans wear are Westerns because the Cloth companies down here are not given the platform to thrive.

But the western world has cripled africa in so many ways by ensuring that all developmental sectors benefit the western developed world more than developing Africa itself.
