According to Digiconomist's Bitcoin energy consumption audience, mining currently consumes 77.78 terawatt hours per year. This is on par with the total energy consumption of countries such as the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
What are your views on the energy consumed? Do you think it's too high?

I've seen various news before, but I'm just learning that the rate is that big. I think the energy expended seems to be quite high.

Environmentalists ... I haven't heard much of their voices on this subject until now. Could there be a reaction from environmentalists if they knew that so much energy was consumed?

Bitcoin mining consumes very large electricity, estimated at thousands, enough for poor countries for years, but we have not heard of any environmental association against this process.

I wonder why it comes such amount of energy ,but i want to ask if solar energy could also be used for bitcoin mining ,i would like to know

Very good question regarding the use of electricity, I think it should also serve in the use of mining is another alternative source that can be used for these mining purposes.

True considering the amount of money been spent on eletricity , there should be an alternative atleast to some certain extent i think

Dpending on the hardware used energy used may be more than you'd imagine, especially those devices which yield high processing power, though I heard that lately some are configuring the miners to use less power with the same amount of processing power

Well i don't really understand is it that they are putting technologies in place that mineral would use and reduce the rate of electricity been used

If the cost of electricity is large enough when using mining, you should look for that alternative of sunlight to save energy and expenses as more miners join each day.

I don't mine crypto, but I believe that mining crypto consumed a lot energy and is not recommended to mine crypto were the availability of energy is low.

You are absolutely right If you do mining then you have to consume a lot of electricity.Wind power energy and solar energy is the best option for mining.
I will still make more research about the windpower energy , because i have gotten only some information about solar energy i think

You have to be very careful when mining because if the energy is low, the equipment that is very expensive tends to be damaged very quickly, so the electricity must be good.

The energy consumption when it comes to mining has been very high . This is why most miners are turning towards solar energy usage .

For me l would say it's too high. But when we take into consideration the revenue they get after successful mining with such electricity, sometimes they do make a lot even after covering the electricity bill.

Concerning how much eelectricity does bitcoin mining consumes. Well, I have no idea that its consuming is going to be this much, it is really high and this is also a factor why most people don't consider bitcoin mining
I think it is a bit more difficult to mine individually. As you said, high bills can be a situation to consider in this business. But in general, the amount of electricity used by the world bitcoin miners is really high.

Day by day blocks increased and the new machine comes with more power which needs more electricity. Many miner come back from mining only for electricity consumption. But many people now moving to solar mining . Its become now a popular way to reduce some electricity costs.

The quoted consumption rate is really high I must say. This will only be easy for countries with constant light if not , it will be a huge problem to mine it.
