These days people have started to prefer Frozen foods to fresh food and because of the changing lifestyle many people have started to prefer that because it saves time but its not healthy and is full of preservatives and even Indian snacks and burgers are available in frozen foods so most are going for it and making it a good business to start with and most of the companies are giving good profit margin and still there is a lot to explore the frozen food category.

I would like to know the estimated cost to set up a Frozen food business in India.

How much does it cost to set up a Frozen food business?

There are many companies that deal in frozen food business. In order to start such kind of business, you may first need to buy machinery that created frozen food. This may alone cost you at least one million dollar.

Before you start to set up frozen foods shop. You need to rent a space where your business will be taking place. Then get some deep freezers where you store goods....

You need up to minimum of $3000 if you want to start frozen food business in a small scale system because you need to buy freezer to froze your product, do you need a good location for people to patronize you

You could actually start the business of frozen food with an amount close to $2000 because you will need to have a well functional shop before you bring in the goods....

It won't be easy to compete with already established business and brands but I think still it can be tried or we can at least sell other brands because I don't see many stores that exclusively sell frozen food

It depends on the location where the frozen foods shop is situated.
There are no location that people do not purchase frozen foods....

Location does matter and you need to have your store at prime location as people in semi urban areas won't be interested in buying frozen foods

It is true that location of a business will usually determine the growth of a business. When you are strategically placed, there is tendencies you make more sells...

There is a brand of frozen food that established itself a long time ago. Now new brands always compete with it. So, competition is also a very big aspect in this business.

There are always new products trying to compete with the existing brand in the market. This is where brand have to improve the quality of their products...

Yes competition is too much and it won't be easier to compete with already established brands but yes we can try it and hopefully in some time we can either establish our brand or sell other frozen brands

Small scale may not cost up to that in my country. You may even be buying from the wholesalers instead of importing from other countries. This will save your money.

Setting up a frozen foods shop requires you to get a power generating system especially if you live in area where there are epileptic power supply....

Due to competition, a new brand may take a long time to get established in the market because many customers purchase those old popular brands.

Most times it does not depend on that situation. If you are located in a strategic position, you would surely get good customers if your price is fair...

I think this is the most expensive part of the business considering the fact that they have to be running on generating system through out. This has made the price of frozen foods to be cost.

It takes time but if you have the money then you may not think twice and that's what those with lots of money do like Reliance does in India and they are entering different markets where there are already so many established businesses.

Well, this is why many companies spend a lots of money initially when they set up their business. They may need to hire salesmen, spend money on advertisement and marketing in order to increase sales.
