Yearly domain renewal: 99p to £100 -

Those are some insane fees.

I pay 36$ to hawhost.
12$ to godaddy per year for domain.
Theme one time cost 49$. Customization self made so money saved.
And any other expenses under 100$. So I am not spending much into the website.

it's an 2014 post , but hey , let the others know as well .
you must take those things on consideration :
-the host
-the domain
-the advertising campaign
-a custom made theme
, you'll prolly spend more than 100$ , but as a reward , you'll get a perfect website , the more you invest , the better you get ;)

How much should a website cost, though? On average, the upfront cost of a site, which includes launching and designing it, is $12,000 to $150,000, while routine website maintenance ranges from $35 to $5000 per month — or $400 to $60,000 per year.

I just read about how to create a blog on blogbeginners site and it good to know that individuals can create their sites now without looking for anyone with the technical knowledge. It is just to follow the steps as stated. Buy the hosting, domain name and maybe theme. But can also start free without a dime with bloggers or WordPress.

Namecheap has always the best offers, it's like 20 dollars between the domain name and hosting, but you gotta think of the hosting renewal, that'll be more expensive.

A good old post with a simple answer. It's like asking how much is a house or a car?
It could be free if you do it yourself and you are a full stack coder who knows exactly what your plan is, or millions if it is huge.

I generally find using coders is a bad thing as they do not test properly, string you along, and you end up putting so much your own time in to fix stuff. I got stung for over $15k on freelancer and spent another year fixing stuff and doing it myself. So it depends on what you value your time as. It's not just the $ cost - it's your time cost.

For someone starting out, look at domain, host and a ready made script with a simple template system. Then you can get going for $1-$2k for anything that looks acceptable.

Agree. Starting a business online without coding skills but with decent functionality and design will cost at least a couple of thousands of dollars.
Taking, for example, my own get-paid-to, cannot express the struggle and the stress I have been through until it was online up and running.
And the hard task was yet to come, the next job was marketing, to bring the actual members that will generate money, and let's not forget managing the site, ban cheaters, is a true nightmare but I have to admit I like it when at the end of the month I count the profits and pay members. Slowly but steady I will pass the initial costs and go into PROFIT zone. That's the wonder of making money online after a lot of hard work success happens "overnight" many say but is more like 1-2 years of work.

it is based on your perspective if a website cost cheap or pricey for you by the way it returns a profit for you. So every price is now negligible when i say that. if you're able to get what you invested on a website plus some more profits then to you it's free.

I want to know how much cost to create a website these days. Is cheap to create a website or not?

Well as you are a newbie I suggest you to take Mr.Bs advice, Start with a cheap plan as a newbie, after you plan for everything of course, with the time you will learn the basics needed, and you must get more $$ for a proper one, good luck!

Hey there, getting a domain is not too hard and isn't so expensive, but keeping a well-organized, attractive website is a bit difficult as well as being expensive. But you can check out some free trial basis websites like Wix and check out what they have got in store.

Which type of website do you want to create?
Because different web servers charge different feeses. If you are going develop website in php or. Net or java so you will have to purchase different web servers in which you can run your website but if you are going to develop an static website so that would not be required any specific server for it so it would be cheaper than others.

If you wanted to create website for personal use such as blogs etc so you can blogspot..com which is completely free and you can also use some other website such as wix..com or yolasite..com which are completely free and you can easily create your own website.

I think namecheap is way better than Godaddy based on my experience since namecheap even includes Whois protection. For hosting try Blue host.

There are services that offer free websitse for limited time , you should consider using them before investing as you're gonna get couple of dollars from whatever you're you going to do there.
