❓ASK How legal is Bitcoin and Crypto Currencies?

I can say it is very legit here in this part of the globe (Philippines), but not so many people are aware of it. And still not many establishments are embracing the many benefits of cryptocurrency. And though there are some exchangers here, Bitcoin is still to have an impact.

Do authorities / governments in your countries accept/allow Bitcoin or is it a big no-no ?
In the Balkan countries Bitcoin is not completely legit yet. I wonder about yours .

Bitcoin is widely known, most of the countries are using it but im not sure if its legalize now

Yes,in my country:Romania Bitcoin is accepted. In the store near to me it is an ATM where you can pay with Bitcoin too.It was a big surprise to me the first time I saw it,but I am glad that Bitcoin was introduced as payment method.

How long has it been legitimate in Philippines ? Can you withdraw your bitcoin in an ATM ? Can you use it to buy products in a store ... such as food/drinks ?

It is already popular here in the Philippines, but still not at the point when majority of people has knowledge about it.
With legitimacy, it is. In fact, I heard that there is already a Bitcoin ATM here.

From what I know, a person doesn't need to actually used bitcoin to purchased a product such as food and drinks to be legitimate. As long as the government allows it and doesn't consider it illegal, then it's legit. I think it's been legal here in the Philippines since the creation of Coins.ph sometime in 2014 which facilitates it's ease of use, and the introduction of Bitcoin ATM in May 2015.

For some reason I've always assumed we weren't allowed to use Bitcoin, but recently I've noticed posters advertising Bitcoin along some of the streets in my city, so it must be legal. I guess it's time I did a bit of reading because I feel like I'm missing out on a good opportunity to make a bit more money.

Bitcoin is not legal in India. In fact they seem to be avoiding the indians from doing those transactions. as you can see most of the indian currency transactions are being done in such way that the bitcoin would be a threat. so in that case it'd be a good idea to understand how the cryptocurrency can be used with low cost. like say localbitcoin website can be used for selling low cost bitcoin sales.

bitcoin and other coins allowed here in my country i mine ethereum because it easy and bitcoin is hard you need good pc to mine bitcoin

Bitcoin is allowed but only few are using this. I just hope someday more people will use this in our country.

What can you do with bitcoins in your country? Can you withdraw BTC from any atm you want ? If it is allowed then why people there aren't using it ? Don't they know the benefits of using bitcoins ?

Yes it is legal here. And coins.ph will not have partners if they are not legal. Money can even be transferred to banks. If Bitcoin is not legal here, then coins.ph would be a scam.

Dear, more and more of our fellowmen are using Bitcoin and got to familiarize of it.

I know that many people know about it, but not every country made it legitimate to use. Some countries are really against it and they actually planned to track bitcoin transactions to catch people who are using it . In my country bitcoin isn't as popular so for now I don't see any banks offering bitcoin withdrawals and stuff.

Which country are you from? I agree that some countries are against Bitcoin because of possible misuse of it for illegal activities of some people. Though, it is becoming popular in my country.

It is nither legitimate nor illegitimate here in India. The government is currently working on bringing a set of rules to make it legitimate in India. I think we have make people understand what is digital money before educating them about cryptocurrency.

From what I have seen they don't want to legalize the bicoin or any cryptocurrency. They do supported Lumens though. That is why the ICICI bank does accept lumens for the currency transfer. And there does seem to be acceptance for some of the legal type of bitcoins. So untraceable cryptocurrencies may not get accepted from what I have seen so far. That's what I can tell you for sure.

Can't say. No update from the finance ministry. I think that they can't totally ban Bitcoin as my people from India are already using Bitcoin online.

well bitcoin is not a currency in my country, people from here earn bitcoins and convert them into dollar and dollar also converted to our own currency as far i know.
