How is it that bitcoin has gone up so much in such a short amount of time? It has been around for a while now but only recently has it boomed...
Will this also happen with the other currencies such as eth? I was thinking about buy a load of eth now before it booms like bitcoin has

I think the only explanation is,that many people has purchased Bitcoins.When many people do that,this means that the Bitcoin is demand,and that is why his price gets higher.It seems the only logical explanation,that I have read about it till now on different sites.

The demand for it is high and more merchants are accepting it as medium of transactions and the tools for mining it are getting expensive daily.

There are a few factors that contributed in bitcoin's increasing value,

• Countries choosed Bitcoin as an official payment method.
• Lot of people got interested in Botcoins/Crypto currencies
• Increased in the demand
• Most trading sites and businesses started to accept Bitcoins

I believe the lastest run-up is a combination of hard forks generating free coins (Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, etc.) and impending Bitcoin futures markets with the CME Group and the CBOE (set to go live on the 10th and 18th respectively). Will be interesting to see the outcome.

Law of demand and people literacy. That could be the two most considerable factor. Since bitcoin is limited, with a higher demand results to higher price. Plus people are more aware to its use and potential value.
Buying crypto such as eth surely will appreciate its value over time but will it skyrocket like bitcoin? That's impossible to determine.Though its safe to buy some, just incase :)

I like ETH better as a fundamental investment, just about major asset coin runs on the Ethereum smart contract platform; seems like dozens of new ICO's launching every day on that platform.

There are so called bitcoin futures that are scheduled to launched. Bitcoin Futures are new investment products offered by multi-billion dollar hedge funds companies.

Yes, cause there's so called Ethereum Alliance. Ethereum Alliance are composed of trillion dollar companies in different industries that don't like Bitcoin but like the blockhain and ethereum smart contract tecnhology.

So really eth is the way to go, being as it is so cheap now, buying eth will make a decent profit when it does eventually shoot up

Considering the continuous rise in bitcoin price on daily basis, is it advisable to keep bitcoin safe in the wallet and allow it to rise as the price goes up or invest it on bitcoin investments sites?

I see that people are rushing for bbitcoin. but many people who are secretive about investment are moving to monero, dash and others. the reason being now the govt is going to crack down on the people who are investing into the bitcoin. so it's reasonable to invest into the bitcoin when the raate goes down.

I wonder the same, I am quite new in the bitcoin world and I think It has risen so quickly because people are interested and investing on it. As far as I am concerned for Now I am only trying to earn some satoshi.

i also thought the same way.. coz eth and litecoin are rising to but not as fast as bitcoin.. but who knows maybe in near future the eth and lite would boom too..lol

Yes,all that is possible,that other cryptocurrencies and coins price will rise too much,but till now,only the Bitcoin showed that sudden rise in the price.I will stick to the Bitcoin,and in my free time maybe Ethereum.

I think bitcoin has some level of the benefits. But the way this is going it's not that beneficial to invest into it anymore. you'd need more power these days to make sense of it. but it can be doable from what I have seen. so yes we have to check on that paart as well. let's see how that goes in that case.

As already posited by Overcast, move over to promising altcoins as very soon the price of BTC may drop. Investing with BTC sites is not advisable as your returns will be affected by the price offset.
