in the past we used to have Page Rank as something we use to measure how our websites rank. i remember those days when we were eagerly waiting for google page rank update. Now with PR long gone, what are the metric that we use to measure our sites?

Is Alexa still relevant? how about the profile our all the links pointing to our site?
 
I believe Google still rank sites According to how valuable that site is and of course sites with fresh and original content with appropriate keywords.This is why SEO is very important to a site to get a site to be crawl by Google and also rank better on search engine.
