I have see many sites that request visitors to download Free Ebooks.

They never request your email or any other details but just to download the Ebook.

Does anyone know how do these website owners earn money when visitors download Ebooks?

Websites that are asking you to download an e-book is not because they want you to help them in monetizing the platform but then they want to be able to collect your email so that you can be able to fix that other forms of marketing. It can also be in a form of a trial so that you can be able to read it and then be convinced about the product or the online course that they are selling.
yeah most are on free trial , because in that ebook there are some pages you can't unlock unless you have paid ,i have experience about one of the ebook I downloaded , I think when you download the ebook there are some commission that would go to the blogger or affiliate marketer too

Websites that ask you to download an e-book and not actually looking for money for you especially at that time. They are probably wanting to build an email list so that they can monetize it later or they want you to go through several sales channels and funnels because the product in which they want to sell to you is not something that is going to take a day convincing you.

There is no way a website can make money from the ebooks that they offers people to download for free. But it can be monetize in different ways indirectly and directly.
Directly is if the ebook is been sold. They can put a price on it and sell them. But if the still want it to be downloaded for free. Then they will have to show ads on there website

There are couple of ways in which site owners make money when people download their ebooks. Sometimes some of those ebooks contains affiliate links on them or they are actually using that particular book to promote a particular same.

I have downloaded an eBook before and when I started reading it, I saw a lot of contacts there.

It was actually a book about forex trading. Assuming that I enrolled in the forex class, then the site owner could have made money from the eBook.

Just like what others have said,it is mostly a pay per download and they can put a clean url shortener or the ones with ads where they ate paid from the url shortener earn or a clean one where they ate paid from the owner of the product being downloaded because of having such a huge reach. If more people are downloading that product it then means the content owners are becoming popular.

I think that there are a variety of methods these sites may use to make income. Perhaps they have some share when a sale takes place? Maybe they have a percentage of commission when a book sells. There are many ways such platforms may make money. They may even make money through advertisements on their site.

yeah there is a particular amount of money been made after sales have been made , although the money from advertisement might be low ,but the major revenue comes from sales of the ebook ,but do you think there are other revenue generation means not considered yet

There are many ways that site making money. It can use ad networks to show ads. They are maybe using shortlinks. When someone click on the download button, he needs to pass the shortlink in order to downlaod that ebook. Or maybe they are doing affiliate marketing.

Did I hear you say pay per download?well I never know about that what I know is that sometime the ebook owner will set a price when you download the ebook you will be redirected to a page where you need to pay some fair amount before you can get access to download the books.

But aside from this I think that there is also a need for if you enable the pay per download service

Offcouse I mentioned pay per download, meaning with no subscription or payment but you get commission from the company that provides such services of pay per download. There are a lot of companies that offer such services like clickbank, digistore among the notables including myleadglobal.

So it all depends with how you are effective in your marketing and ascertaining what will work for you using this method.

Many E-Book sites also have an affiliate program that could help them make good commissions when a sale takes place. It all depends on how well the affiliate programs perform. However, I think that many popular E-Book online stores have been running for a long time and they probably make good commissions.

Most of the sites who offer free downloads for books, songs and videos will have a lot of ads from ad networks. This is possibly their main source of income since they tend to get a lot of visitors. I use fzmovies.net a lot and I've also observed it with books sites.

Actually they make money, but not from you downloading the ebook. There are lots of Ebooks which only those who are paid monthly or one time subscription can download unlimited ebook, those who are not subscribed can only download 2 a month.
