I've been reading a ton of articles about SEO and related stuff, I had my trials and errors in ranking sites, still have problems to be honest :(

There's no doubt that SEO is changing, Google's algorithm too and we must keep up to date with latest working SEO tactics to be able to rank for desired keywords.

How do you learn SEO?

Learning the SEO through experiment can be a good way. I have seen some of the people making use of the SEO. And they use many methods and it works out for them. You can see that SEO wise it is not that bad either. It's easy to use.

Nowadays there are many books available on SEO and you can learn about SEO by going through these books. There are also many good YouTube videos on SEO and these have helped countless people. I am also active on a Forum called SEOclerks and I learned many things over there. My advice is that if you don't have much knowledge about SEO then it will be better to hire a SEO specialist. SEO if done incorrectly can have negative effects on your business.

You are right about it.SEO can influence very much the success of our website or blog.I think in the future I will spend more time reading some ebooks about SEO,and maybe joining Seoclerks,as I have heard many things about this site.

Yes the good thing about this site is that you will get to learn about SEO and can also ask questions on the community discussion platform. You can equally earn on there by selling SEO related services. Some people have been successful on there.

I am also new in this SEO field. The first step I took toward SEO learning was I read google's free SEO book. After that I read tons of articles on how to do the steps mentioned on the SEO book of google. And, surely not succeeded yet.

Even i have gone through a number of videos and sites to learn about SEO but i get to the starting point always , its really confusing where to start from.

Yes, I feel the same. So, I have given up it. Now I am only trying to get traffics to my blog with direct referring method by sharing links on various sites. And thinking, After I got some enough revenue I will hire some professional SEO expert for the SEO job of my blog. And best sites I found to drive traffic are youtube, Quora, and google+.

I agree some have even joined some professional courses to learn but they too say its the same and time waste. Its good that you are planning well.Yes quora is good as far as i know.

Yoast SEO is one good blog to learn from. Some of the reviews presented by the team there are indeed good. I have good experience with the site. And that guy knows his way around the SEO. So this is a good way for the learning of the SEO.

Along the way Overcast recommends, https://moz.com/learn/seo is also a recommended place you guys can learn SEO from.
It's actually like all in one that has comprehensive materials and learning stuffs all over Digital/Internet Marketing as well as SEO.
Most of one might already know of Moz though.

It changes all the time. So don't be hard on yourself. And it can be really good to see how the SEO changes may improve you too. And it means you can be doing a lot of things in this case and make sure to do one thing at a time.

If you type SEO on Google, you will find numerous expert-written articles. These articles might be very helpful in learning SEO. However, one of the drawbacks of these articles is they are didactic. They will tell you what SEO is and how to do SEO, however, most of their methods are not practical. The best way to learn SEO is by attending a SEO course. Udemy or Allison are some of the best places to learn SEO.

I read from these resources
Search engine watch
Shout me loud
Neil Patel
Brian dean
Matthew barby
All are pretty simple and realistic and always practical results can be achieved by following each of them

I learned about SEO when I joined an apprentice program on Hubpages. I was selected to participate in HubPages apprentice program in 2012. It was a six months intensive programs that focused on online publishing and digital marketing. I also learned more about SEO through an online SEO course on Udemy.

Reading up on SEO is a good start, I see people recommending MOZ which is a good choice as their methods are usually very safe and they are kept up to date with Google Algo estimated changes or trends. Trial and error on your website will be the next step, as experience will give you a different insight on SEO.

Learning SEO (Search Engine Optimization) can be a rewarding and challenging process. Here are some steps you can follow to learn SEO:
  1. Read SEO blogs and articles: Start by reading blogs and articles from reputable sources to get a basic understanding of SEO. This can include blogs from industry leaders, like Moz and Search Engine Land, as well as general information about SEO from websites like Wikipedia.
  2. Study SEO tutorials and courses: There are many free and paid SEO tutorials and courses available online that can help you deepen your understanding of SEO. Some popular websites for learning SEO include Udemy, Coursera, and Khan Academy.
  3. Join online SEO communities: Participate in online communities, like forums and Facebook groups, where you can ask questions, share information, and network with other SEO professionals.
  4. Experiment with your own website: Create a personal website or blog and experiment with different SEO techniques to see what works best. Use tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics
