So I have several questions about "domain flipping":
  • Is it easy to get into it for an inexperienced newbie?
  • Is it so lucrative as many blogs claim?
  • Is it better compared to website flipping?
Thanks indeed, feel free to answer the question you are more comfortable with!

Hi! Here are my answers:
  • Is it easy to get into it for an inexperienced newbie? Hmmm... I guess it's easy to get into the domain flipping business. But the reality is, there are many people into that area already. They have experience and know what they're doing already. So even if technically, domain flipping involves just buying a domain and selling it for a higher price, you might realise that it might be harder to do than that.
  • Is it so lucrative as many blogs claim? Well, if you can get domain names such as Give.com or Toy.com, then you can certainly earn a lot from that. The premise is very simple, you buy a domain name and list it for sale with some added profit but if you cannot sell it, then you will lose money in the end. So you better make sure that the domain names you get are worthy enough of being bought.
  • Is it better compared to website flipping? In my opinion, it is easier than website flipping but not necessarily better. With website flipping, you do all the necessary steps, from buying the domain, driving traffic, customising the site and putting content into it, then you sell it. If you can drive enough traffic into it, more buyers will see the potential in your site. That's website flipping. With domain flipping, it's more simple but difficult to do if your domain name isn't really that good.

There are a lot of image hosting sites around, this I am aware of. However, I'd like to know whether there are any image hosting sites or something along the lines of that that use ads so that if I share a photo that is viewed a lot (and subsequently people see a lot of ads) is it possible at all that I get money for doing so? It sounds a bit off, but if I host an image that is viewed a lot, will I get any return from it if ads are viewed? If that exists, are there any certain sites along the lines of this?

I know there are a lot of threads with good suggestions regarding making money online but for European people that is harder as a lot of websites just don't work outside the US. So I decided to make this thread to compile some suggestions for us that are in Europe. I'm still a newbie so I appreciate any suggestions!

  • Postloop (non-ref) - you are paid to post on forums and/or blogs. After signing up you're required to post 10 posts on Postloop's forum, so they can give you a rating regarding your english level (take some time on this step; if don't are accepted you can't do it again). After getting accepted there is a list and you can choose the forums and blogs you're interested in joining. Don't forget to subscribe to them on Postloop and you're good to go!
  • Gengo - a translation website. You're required to make a test translation in order to start making money. A pro-level is also available once you pass the first one, and this gives you access to more work. The only problem I find in my case is that a lot of times the translation requests are posted when I'm asleep, and are then "caught" by other translators, but so far it's one of the websites where I made some money.
  • Lingosaur - same as Gengo, except that I never got a job from them (maybe my language pair isn't really needed?). Some people made good money though.
  • Prolific Academic - you do surveys and get paid for it. The nice thing about it is that you're pre-screened before doing the survey so you don't lose time doing the survey if you're not eligible for it.
These are the one's I used so far, if you have more please add them ;)

Yes there are they will pay you for hosting your images on their site. There are actually a lot of them but the rates aren't high and they do cut on the total views. There is imagefolks, imgmaster, imgtrex,... just to mention a few, but there are a lot more.

From their website:
  • Standard: $0.03 per word/$0.018 per character (e.g. Japanese, Chinese)
  • Pro: $0.08 per word/$0.048 per character
The Pro test isn't really that hard, but they're stricter than the Standard, of course.

There are many sites to earn money online, completing surveys, translating text, reviewing stes, watching videos, and the list continues. There are many posibilities to earn money but mostly for US residents, if you're outside t he states things might get a little tricky. What are some of your favorite sites to earn some quick bucks from outside the US?

I'm UK-based, so anything I've recommended works outside the US!

Ciao is pretty good. You write reviews and get paid whenever they are rated useful. You can transfer the payments straight to your bank account. (I much preferred dooyoo, but they have sadly closed.)
mturk is low paying but reliable, but only pays in Amazon.com gift cards so expect postage to eat a lot of your earnings.
Otherwise I tend to get a lot from affiliate links on sites like Wizzley and others.

I'm also from the UK and I noticed that you mentioned M-turk. As far as I was aware, they only allowed US based clients on there now but with you mentioning it I was wondering if that had changed then?

Humanatic is also another site that works outside of the US even though a lot of the calls you will be reviewing are from America. It's certainly worth having a look at anyway.

You are late to the party. Yes, it is easy to get into that business, but there are already dozens if not hundreds of companies who do it full time and use all sort of sophisticated tools to find good deals to make. I do not think a person, just on their own, starting now will have much success.

I am looking into the pay to install apps thing to make some extra cash, but only for a Desktop computer since I don't have a smart phone right now that I could use for installing random things.

I believe that it is safe to assume that if somebody is paying you to install stuff on a computer you should be naturally suspicious of the nature of said program, so I read about installing a virtual machine on your computer in order to have a sand boxed environment where you can basically go crazy installing all kinds of pay to install stuff. I think I read that even beer money sites encourage you to use virtual machines since these programs are, if not harmful, something that will slow down your computer.

Does anybody here has some experience with installing apps on Virtual Machines? Do they actually pay?

Once again, I know about phone apps, but that possibility is not open for me just yet.

Spare5, i'm not sure whether this website has been mentioned before on this forums, but i have been a member since january and i have nearly 60$, but one thing i don't like about this website is most of the tasks come in bulk, and there is no you can be notified unless you check the website frequently.

Nope, please make a special thread for it, you can also include your referral link if the Spare5 offer this option to increase earnings.

I think many of the sites that allow for international members are paying same rate for all locations whether you are writing from the US or outside you get paid equally. That said I'd say I am earning good from posting on forums and a few other sites. I've been having good experience at The Forum Wheel and ForumCoin. Though the pay at ForumCoin maybe small but the information to other earning programs is very rich.

No, they take US, UK, Canada and India as far as I know. Last time I looked, India was the only one outside of the US that doesn't have to take payment in Amazon US vouchers though.

Surprising, nobody posted about http://www.clixsense.com here ?

I have done 6 to 10 simple surveys that paid me 5 cents per question

Clixsense as been mentioned on this site a lot on other threads, and while yu are right and it does accept people from all over the world, it's more commonly known as a PTC site. If you read the other posts regarding PTC and that niche of earning money online, you'll see that it's not exactly seen as a legitimate way to earn, and while I'm not saying that Clixsense is a scam, it does tend to get put into the same category as the less reputable sites around.

When deciding if we will work for a survey site, it's important to understand how much we are going to make with it. So here's my question, how much money per month do you do with your favorite survey site? Do you mind sharing the name? :D
