I have seen some of the facebook and instagram videos. Those videos seems to be made up on the small editor type software. It does not look much complex. Just few slides added with music. And there seems to be a lot of such small videos built using the online editors too. I can tell you that for those who know such editors they can get some good gigs on fiverr and upwork. And I have same plans to build my freelance career around the small social media videos.

Have you tried any such software that allows you to make those under 2 min attractive videos?

You can use Filmora for making small videos. There is free and paid version, but free has a lot of options: add images, slides, transitions, sound, text, …

Size of Filmora videos is usually very high. Something around the range of 90MB to 400 MB. Anything that high can be pretty bad for the promotion and also uploading takes a lot more time as well. Not sure if the filmora would bea good choice here. But yeah I may have to try similar software that can output small size videos.

You can choose quality, frame rates, type of file and other things which affect on file size. We create few videos, about 1 minute long, solid quality and size was around 10MB.

I guess my media must be higher size that could be one reason the size of the video is increasing. I am also in search of better stock for the editor. Because that way I can have video that does not lead to YouTube strikes. Hopefully with filmora I can manage stock content on low mbs to get small video.

You can always use online editors. There is some good free options and advatange is that you can make direct share on social media without downloding files on yoru Computer. Also you don't have to install any software so older Computer also can be used for making videos.

Yes, are many video editors you can try. These are completely free to use but they do not have many features like the paid one even online video editors can be found.

I use shortcut video editor.
OpenShot is similar to ShortCut.
Filmora is best but it is good if you pay because it will post watermark in the middle of the video.

Visit the link in signature and search for the same...

I think you can remove watermark if you disconnect you computer from Internet during export video. Something similar my students did any they remove watermark with free version.

I did not know about it...when I used it, to edit video I saw a large watermark in the middle. And mostly I edit video offline...so I really have no idea about it...

I have to check again.

go for Camtasia Studio if you want a very low size videos , but if you're into professional videos , then i advice you to use Sony Vegas , you won't regret .

the simplest software is windows movie maker..and if you going for some advance features then try premiere pro...but you need to learn it...try Camtasia it's easier than premiere pro

In these days you do not really have to be careful about the resolution of your videos or did I mention if you are going to post it on social media because the social media algorithm has been written in such a way that it is going to convert the video automatically to it's supported format. You can able to record and edit your videos with normal Adobe premiere Pro and Facebook will do the conversion for you.

There are a few key elements to keep in mind when designing social media videos. First, you need to make sure that the videos are eye-catching and engaging. This means using high-quality visuals and graphics, and keeping the videos short and to the point. You also need to make sure that the videos are shareable, so that they can be easily shared on social media platforms.

It's great that there are so many free and low-cost tools available. It's always good to try different options to see what works best for you. How do you find that ShortCut video editor compares to other editors you've used?

That's a really interesting point about the social media algorithm automatically converting video formats. It's great that it does this for users, as it makes the process of posting videos much easier. Have you noticed a difference in quality between the original video and the converted version?

Absolutely, creating short and attractive videos for social media is a great idea! There are user-friendly online video editors like InVideo, Biteable, or Canva that allow you to craft engaging videos with ease. They offer templates, music, and various customization options. These tools are perfect for freelancers on platforms like Fiverr and Upwork to offer video creation services. Give them a try, and you'll likely find the process enjoyable and rewarding for your freelance career.

Best of luck with your freelancing endeavors!
