I have really been trying for years to develop my skills in writting and getting a gig online has been tough. I have a freelance account but I always have no luck getting bids. Some who have more experience and awards gets the job. Frustrating as it is I need to continue. Since I discovered writing as a hobby. I just love doing it and don't want to stop. Ever. Also the reason I don't get hired probably is that I'm somewhat choosy with the content's I want to write.

So back to the question. How can I start blogging without having to pay for hosting?

Blogger.com is there for you to experiment on before going into paid ones. Just get your domain name with less than a dollar on namecheap and start churning out very good and valuable content on your blog.

Blogger.com contains no ads and you can build or upload themes.

By far the best choice.
I suggest you fork out a dollar or two and get a domain name on namecheap so you can brand your site more easily. Instead of yoursite.blogspot.com it will become yoursite.com or something else.

It also allows you to integrate Google Adsense or any other advertiser that works with HTML code.

You can see an example in my signature on how I build my site.

Does this mean you don't need to pay anything except for custom domain? No need to purchase hosting, just use blogspot freely and change it with custom domain?

Hello there sister,
yes you can blog without paying and even getting paid for it, try creating your JOURNEY thread here, it's a blog you can update it everyday just put a link on the first post, and succeeding posts no external link can be placed but you can at least say the domain name or subdomain or the whole web address just don't link to it.

Blogger and Wordpress are the way to go for getting experience and learning things. As mentioned before, 000webhost, and Infinity Free provide free web hosting, you can check them out.

you may also use facebook as your blog by updating your status there, be sure don't post or include any link in your blog, it's just like what you did for that day and tell some stories where did you go and automatically your fb friends will read it in their news update and yes you got automatic blog readers/followers for free.

i like steemit, because you have your own blog on their platform for free, then you can promote and share it, on top of it you received earnings based on their own crypto

Generally speaking, there are three ways to get into blogging.
1. you use free sites like blogspot, wins, weebly, wordpress
2. you publish on websites like medium, vocal, hubpages
3. you create a self hosted blog.
The first and second methods are free, where as the third method costs money. You may not earn from blogging when you use the first method, but the second and third methods allow you to make money.
Yeah I experimented with mine recently ón blogger.com but I haven't continued with it. I'm thinking of having a youtube channel rather, so starting without hosting is very possible

I want to take on your article in context, the issue of blogging without hosting is clear, from experience, you can blog and earn reasonable amount of money without paying a dime for hosting. You need to run to blogger .com and its likes.Remember to get adequate training on how to blog well and earn,so that the blogging experience can be very interesting and rewarding

What the cheapest price for a domain name on namecheap? I have a blog on Blogger, and I would like to remove the subdomain.

I'm just trying it out, so that's why I'm not yet going for paid hosting.

My recommendation is that you start a blog on a self-hosted setup. The reason is simple – if you want to build a blog that is taken seriously by search engines and readers alike you'll want to avoid free hosts. ... You are free to use any host you like.
Do you mean hosting it on a VPS?

I'm a blogger also. I use wordpress.com platform for free website domain and free website hosting. But it has a sub domain .wordpress.com. If you're looking for a free hosting without sub domain, you can try 000webhost.com. I've encountered it before and many website owners use it. But I've never tried it up until now.
Can I ask what your experience has been with ranking on free WordPress?

What are the limitations you faced?

I think this is really helpful,i think its not good to loose mkneyvsgen thevengsngemeng is not good,You can work on a site just to have a feel and practice on a site like blogger.I will check out that web hosting site...

You can use 000.webhost.com but i use Godaddy's hosting plan of $1. The best alternative for free hosting is the former. It is widely used, especially for beginners to experiment with creating a blog. If you want to blog without having a personal blog rather an account use medium.
The $1 hosting deal sounds really favourable, how has been your experience with them?Am thinking you dont need a sophisticated blog orvwebdite forvthis eork well for you.
I think medium also sounds very interesting, hope the scrutiny process isn't that tough and do you own the rights for your work?

There are so many web host you can use only check the that suit you, you can also research about and make your own choice together with advised you get here.

You can try wordpress.com and create a free web there though you wont have access to some important contents. Another thing as a freelancer you need to be flexible and try by all means not to segregate your clients.

You have two alternatives regarding free hosting for your blogging career, the best free hosting always go to Google blogger and WordPress. Start with either of the two till you can afford paid hosting.

most bloggers would recommend wordpress, you may start with the given 000webhost.com and can easily install wordpress(build wordpress website) to start your blogging then decide later if you need a domain to remove the 000webhost for better ranking and traffic

others started with blogger, wix, weebly etc but I have seen blogs made from blogger itself and just purchased a domain to remove the blogspot.com extension to either .com .net etc
000webhost free plan has bad and very slow servers, and they are also very strict what you can do with it. I once had a website which got banned, I still don't know the reason why it got banned.

Coming to OP question. I prefer Blogger over Wordpress because blogger is ad free blogging platform

That is awesome to know. Many people have been talking about Google blogger and Wordpress as the best options. I will go ahead and research more about them because I am also interested in blogging.
