Making money online has become my priority ever since I was introduced to but I'm having little idea on how to get start. How ever, I know there are many successful brothers and sisters on this forum who have make a lot out of affiliate program and I will like to ask for help from them because we always learn from our masters.

It has been almost a year since you posted this, and I hope by now, you are successful. Anyway, I am going to answer the question.

Here are the steps you need to take in order to start and be successful with affiliate marketing;

1. Knowledge
You need to learn and know what affiliate marketing is and decide if it is for you. You can achieve that with the following
- Youtube videos
- Google search
- Courses

2. Choose your niche
You can choose any niche you want as long as there is an audience for it and you are passionate or know about it. Always remember, you can't go wrong with the following niches (Health, wealth, relationships)

3. Join affiliate programs in your niche
There is no shortage of affiliate programs to join in the market. When you join a program look for the following criteria, (One or more of the following)
- Is the commission percentage worth your time?
- Is there a recurring commission like subscriptions?
- Does the program has good support?

4. Set up your business
This is the part that consumes time, you have to set up your system depending on your method of promotion. For example, if you are doing email marketing, you have to set up your autoresponder. If you are blogging, you have to set up your blogging platform,.....etc. (I will talk about this below)

5. Promote
Now you are ready to promote products and make money

METHODS OF PROMOTION
This is the most important part of the process because here is where you generate traffic which is the bloodline of your business. Without traffic, your business is dead. You have to choose the methods that you are comfortable with. Here are some methods of promotion;

Videos - If you are not camera-shy, this is one of the most effective methods. you can do it on Youtube or Tiktok. You can do videos like reviews of the products you are promoting and include your affiliate link in the description for people who are interested to buy.

Blog Posts - This requires you to have a website for blogging and this is a long game with Google. With this method, you have to write a lot or hire writers to write for you. Over time, Google will rank your articles and you get traffic.

Facebook Groups - Make a Facebook group in your niche and invite people to join the group. Give value and try to help people, when you gain people's trust, you can promote products that you think help them.

Other Methods - There are many methods you can use like Pinterest, Quora, forums,.....etc.

Many people fail with affiliate marketing because they don't have realistic expectations when they start.
- Affiliate marketing should be treated like any other business
- It takes time to make money
- There is work associated with the business
- You might fail, but you need to get up and try again with a different strategy
