I would like to know requirements and challenges that one need to face if he wants to open his own ad network like Outbrain say. What stuffs he needs to ensure to have the business running smoothly and how can he get customers and publishers easily? What can be the capital amount needed to start such a business? What additional things he need to do yo beat competitors?

1. you need script. best one is xyz admarket for $200
2. domain hosting, if you save maybe $70 a year (you need to handle big traffic because you will be hosting all ads on your domain)
3. advertisers, you should give discounts to get them, or you can resell of other ad networks, for example you design banner and make it lead to an adsense blog you own, a page asking people to enable push notifications, or a direct link from an ad network like propellerads, popunder, net etc.
If you want to start a business like this, and have the budget of $300-400 then I would surely recommend to go for it. I''d be glad to help if you do want to start so you could drop me a private message :)

Creativity, new innovative way to make money through ads will atract publisher to use your network I think. As for the capital, since most ads networks have international reach, maybe around 10,000 USD.

Your challenge would be to find advertisers. To do so I think you would have to start with very low prices and be expected to loose money at the start, potentially quite a lot of money. I can't see this working as a small undertaking - it would need multiple thousands behind it,

True, finding the advertiser and then standing in the competition is important to stay in it. Don't fear and stop. It will make gradual income.

To be completly honest I am not sure it would make gradual income, it is not the business I would suggest. My feeling here is it is something you really need to be expert at, and have a lot of resources for before you can make a success. There are other, more sure, ways of making an online income

If you seriously want to make one you gotta learn the ropes first and foremost, It's not easy, the competition is tough, but I think it's still worth it.

Competition is so hard here that you need to innovate some unique features that will attract advertisers. Regarding minimum budget I think $2000 is fair as a price. Its not easy and you need huge marketing everywhere.

You need to be careful about your profit in proportion to marketing expenditure. Otherwise you may face rarly failure. Many advertise network suffers loss as their marketing attempts went in vain.

Opening an ad network is easy. You just need a script, a domain and a hosting. That's all to create an ad network. But the main problem is to find advertiser and publisher because there are a lot of giant ad networks like adsense, facebook etc. So why anyone will advertise with your network?. You should give advertisers some sign up bonus, you should give some discounts on every campaign they make. You should also moderate that your publishers are not abusing your ads by proxy, click fraud, fake imprssion, bots etc. If anyone do so, you should ban them forever. This is how you will operate a successful ad network.

Starting a business is key , operating that is difficult step , success of business is highly dependant on second step , if you can operate a business with the right options for people you can have a successful business in no time

Starting an ad business can be good, you'll need a domain hosting service that can support alt of users at a given time, you also need to find the companies, firms that are going to provide these ads, you also need to broker a deal with them. These are just the technical stuff, getting people to know about and adopt your product is also an entirely different ball game.
Can it be done? Yes.
Will it be easy? Not exactly.

Well, this is my first post on the forum, so hello guys!

Starting an ad network has many meanings, so it really depends on what you want, do you have some direct advertisers, and publishers, or you are about yet to find them.

If you want to start serious ad network you can't do it on any bought script. Ad networks usually use OpenRTB (programmatic bidding for the ad space) to maximize earnings of the publishers, results for the advertisers, as well as cut for themselves. OpenRTB protocol has some really strict requirements in terms of performance, scaling, etc, so hiring a developers with this expertise will be somewhat costly, but there are some ready-made white label solutions that you can use to start relatively, but it's not as cheap as buying script like XYZ once.

You usually have multiple parts of the systems in OpenRTB, but let's keep it simple.

In OpenRTB publisher side is called Supply-Side (SSP), and what this is doing is connecting you to many demand sources (Demand-Sides) that have advertisers, this process makes sure that publishers earnings are maximized because demand side platforms usually have many advertisers that want to compete to get as much traffic as possible and they compete by increasing the price for each impression, which results in higher overall CPM for the publisher.

Good thing about OpenRTB is that if you have publishers you don't need direct advertisers in the beginning, you just need to connect to many demand sources, and you can generate earnings from the day one. But bear in mind that getting access to demand sides requires somewhat big amounts of traffic daily, but certainly it's not something that is impossible to do.

If you want to discuss about this further, please shoot me an DM.

You will definitely need to hire out developers to create a system for you because all the ad placements and recruiting are normally done automatically. You will also have to to promote and register it.

There are different advertisement networks in the world so they are different rules to wish you can be able to get to any of them. Google adsense which is the most popular one needs you to have up to 1000 unique follow was on the website and then a post that has more than 1,000 views before you can be able to register.

No matter how the competition is tough, someone can still create an ad network and still make profits. As there are many ad networks that are available and people know them. Same people still search for other ad network that will be ok for them as the available ones are not paying well.

Creating your own ad network like Outbrain is a big undertaking, and there are a number of requirements and challenges to consider. First, you'll need to have a solid understanding of the ad tech industry and the ad delivery process. You'll also need to have a strong technical team that can build and maintain your own ad delivery platform. You'll need to have a robust sales team to acquire publishers and advertisers for your network. In terms of capital, you'll need to have a significant amount of funding to cover the costs of developing and maintaining your ad network, as well as the costs of acquiring publishers and advertisers which might be over 20k dollars

Which ad network you prefer mostly ? I am talking about "user experience perspective". not profit. I mean when users visit they feel design is cool and attractive (not ad content but ad placement idea). I think improving ad placement design can be good catching clicks from customers.

Although most of the time I noticed that the Google adsense views rates and others ,or the pricing model actually determine a lot, I think there are cases where the quality of traffic would determine the amount of money to earn

Yes indeed quality of the traffic matters most of the times people are able to earn much higher if they have good quality traffic indeed and that is why you need to make sure to focus on quality rather than quantity of traffic indeed.

You would need servers and other tech infrastructures to set up an additional network. You should know that the front end should be a robust website that can withstand any form of pressure. You would need to offer a value proposition like quick payouts, diverse payment platforms to be able to get traction.
