The Hong Kong government is introducing a law proposal to prohibit retail investors from trading cryptocurrencies and authorize all virtual asset trading platforms to operate in the region.
Experts in the cryptocurrency industry say Hong Kong's move will cause it to lose its competitive edge in the cryptocurrency space.
What do you think about this arrangement that can only cover small retail investors?

This is not good for small investors and my sugestiin for is come together and merge to form big investor so that they can still remain in business.

But why would they do such thing for small retail investors or are they using the opportunity to control or regulate the crypto trading in the country, to prevent scams

The last I read a couple of months back was that those exchanges were to be regulated by the Hongkong government, but this policy made is just so unfair to those who trade with small funds
Is so unfair at least they should have just given a reason for making such policy ,i think this might make many retail imvestors move to another country to continue their trading

Well, Honk Kong, being now an administrative region of the People's Republic of China, often tends to ban American proposals (such as Facebook).
But considering this nation, an immense world power, my opinion is that actually this could have considerable repercussions on cryptocurrencies.

It will be better they give it a close watch and study before banning the Crypto Currencies especially if it is generating employment or means of livelihood to people or citizens.

It is quite strange because we have Chinese owned exchanges that are doing so very well, so, why would they have anything against Cryptos either for small or large traders.

No problem if there is any ban, no ban is actually working, even strict Chinese government is not able to completely ban crypto; democratic government will face more opposition.

Your idea is valid since it is only on retail investor. Then they can grouped themselves to have it big and invest as one entity. This can go a long way to help

Well, I would say the government and the officials are illiterate regarding cryptocurrency.

They want to use Blockchain technology but I wonder without cryptocurrency how would that work.???
Blockchain can be to manage other activities aside Crypto currencies though it will be better if they allow Crypto currencies to function well.

I think this will surely affect the government and citizens simultaneously . They have have a tangible reason for doing so , less they will regret it later

If Hong Kong eventually ban Crypto currency and still make use of blockchain technology there is hope for reversal except they have very genuine reasons.

If they should pass that law banning crypto currencies over there, surely it will affect their stand in the crypto space but even with that I don't think they can control an individual Investor not to be investing in crypto currencies.

@vetrety , such type of posts are considered spam/trash, so post something helpful / updated information, or ask if you have any query.
And for your information, a complete crypto ban is not possible, there is no law in the world expect for dictators.

High street investors ,banks, politicians, and business men are realising that there are a lot to gain from investing in crypto, crypto is here to stay but a lot of people are yet to realize the secret behind crypto currency, major alt coins are actually performing well and some block chain coins for example Doge, Ada, win, Xrp, and Eth and Litecoin , I will help just 50 people to Learn about the technical aspects of trading coins if you are ready to learn contact via

The cryptocurrency world has a lot it will offer to the world at large and this have been the strong pillar of investors especially now that the market is very bad.

the individual they are more focused on controlling would find another alternative , and crypto currency useage would actually increase in the supposed country because the ban would make it popular

We have already seen many harsh decisions made by government of different countries regarding the crypto market but the market is still standing.
Yeah , it will take more than one government to stop the cryptocurrency . But the way things are going , I think crypto will stay.
