What is Honeygain?

Honeygain is a crowdsourced network company which enables other businesses to conduct intelligence, market, and business research. It is an application which, when turned on, allows you to reach your unused internet's full potential by making your device a gateway.

Where will the traffic come from?

From data scientists who enable other businesses to run intelligence, market, and business research.
Honeygain clients use our infrastructure to run brand protection campaigns, perform SEO monitoring, as well as conduct ad verification services.

How it works:

Is my personal data safe with Honeygain?

100%. We don't keep any data of our clients. The only data we will have is what will be necessary for the service. This includes your email address, your IP address, how much traffic you make per month and your chosen payout methods.

How is my payment calculated?

You earn credits for every KB of data you bring in, and after collecting enough of credits, you can convert them to USD. You earn 1 credit for 10MB of traffic that goes through you. So for 10GB you'll earn 1USD.

How much data Honeygain uses?

You can expect usage of up to 2GB per day, although take note that based on your network speed, we can reach a maximum of 15GB per day.

Can I protect myself from using my whole data plan?

Yes. You can do that by simply turning off the mobile data usage in the Honeygain app settings menu. Or if on Windows - right-click Honeygain bee icon and select "quit" to turn off the app.

Will Honeygain's network usage interfere with my everyday data usage?

You shouldn't feel any difference with our app running in the background. We set our app to never use more than 10% of your available network bandwidth.

After hitting my all time high gathered for a day of 3.5GB, it suddenly started gathering next to nothing in the following day. Right now, after 12 hours I've only gathered 510MB.
It feels like the more you've worked for them, the less they pay you. So you never reach 20 dollars. Dirty app.

Some change in income is to expect, but i would also prefer high numbers all day :)

I am installing the app on my desktop and phone. On the first two days, it ran well on my phone, but it seems like it's not gathering any "honey" from my phone these two days. The total "honey" gathered shows the same amount of data on my phone, even though the app shows "active" status on my phone. I wonder why this is happening.

traffic has dropped dramatically over the last couple of days. I'm currently experiencing a bigger traffic demand even from packetstream, no joke.

That's because you have configured your account to earn over $10 daily. I knew this was fishy when you told me about this on Facebook, now I'm glad I did not agree to your proposal.

there could be many reasons for fluctuation perhaps @Honeygain can explain better regarding this but he's not active as much. As you can see it is fluctuating for me too so it's just not you.

@Honeygain I has request payout 2 days ago. and registered honeygain payout portal but still cant login, and not yet set payment address for my payment. already contact email but nothing get response or reply.

That doesn't really encourage me to carry on, at the moment I am making about $0.05 a day! Might not even be worth running this app as it uses resources. If we could at least make $1 per day that would be fine but $0.05 it's not even worth running the app.

Did you do anything sketchy to reach the threshold that quickly? Considering that with a few devices connected most people make 5-20 cents a day reaching $20 in a matter of weeks sounds quite unreal.

I am glad to see the owner responding to this thread, and makes me feel more confident with the app. I am gathering honey very slowly everyday, but I don't mind if it's legit and paying.

The fact that @Honeygain replies here doesn't mean anything. To appear to have a closer relationship with its users will make it easier fot it to trick us for a little while longer. This app is dead to me. I advise people to stay away from it now, and I am truly sorry for making ppl I know join it.

Can I run it on the raspberry pi 3 windows version? Keep in mind its version of windows is not the regular one

as long as that device is able to run windows supported softwares then yeah , and raspberry pi with windows ? i've never heard about that , thanks for the info , though they all come with the linux based system
