Yes, celebrity promotion works. I have some celebrated writers and artists as my friends on facebook and followers on twitter. Some of these celebrated writers and artists regularly share my works on social media and help me gain traffic. For instance, my blog is all about beauty and from where I am, there are local bloggers that are considered the top makeup gurus of the country. So if I do need help promoting my blog, I can actually hire them or let them guest post, if they would agree. That can certainly boost my traffic in my website. I consider them as the celebrities in my niche, lol.

Another example, you know those people in YouTube making millions by filming themselves? Yup, they're celebrities too. So I'm pretty sure setting up an interview with them or hiring them can be good for your business or site as well.

Not celeb but those Instagram girls definitely work. If you have say like product in health category or so. Then just send them samples. And that should work out as well. They may take around 500$ or so. It may require even more effort. But it can work out just fine. I think instagram and facebook promotions such as that does pay a lot. This can realy work perfectly. Even online promotions can be done by the celebrities. The only hard part is geting close to them to do for you this for free. I think becoming his or her big fan is the best. Follow him or her everywhere in their social media sites and coment positively on everything they do and they will consider your request.

This is a good promotional strategy especially if the stuff for the promotion is your personal products,you'll make much more profit than advertising for a company that would still pay you for peanut even with all the money you'll help them make.

But I think I have read somewhere that one must seek their express permission before using them for any promotional stuff because you infringe upon their right by using them without prior permission,So I think one has to be careful with using them.Because most of them make money through this means and they may not like you using them for free or you get sued.

And offer them like say 250$ to 500$ per image posted on the instagram. It works out if you can get photographer to include both model and the product properly. It's a skill but can be done.

Most of the top celebrities are expensive. In such case only instagram type models can do the promotion on the cheap cost. Most of the big celebs have like budget of millions for endorsing some product the reason being their reputation is on the line. So they tend to make the change such as that.

It is a good idea but what purpose does it serves as regards money into your pocket.I do not believe in being a sign board to anybody,if must promote you,that is public relations and rewards are required
