Shutterstock is a stock photography company. Normally you get paid when someone downloads your photo. I joined this site some months back but unfortunately my photos were rejected. I took those photos with a good camera but still I was unsuccessful. There are a number of things that I need to work on. Have you ever used Shutterstock? Were you successful over there?

Honestly it's really hard to crack into their premium program. You can get accepted with HD images that you have shot. But you need to make sure that you're having quality images. Getting accepted is not the hard part. it's getting sales on recurring basis that is where things are going to be hard. So I am guessing that not a lot of people are going to make it. But that does not mean you should not try. Keep the stock on those type of sites and see if any day it gets sold.

I had tried shutterstock to upload some of the nature pics caught by me.

Unfortunately it got rejected as yours. Then i learnt that they expect quality HD pictures but not just a mobile uploads
It is one of the best site for professional photographers . If incase your pictures meet their expections, you will be paid. All the best

I never had success with Shutterstock. But there are a lot of people, particularly photographers, of course gained success there. If you see the photos in Shutterstock, they are obviously very clear, and used DLSR cameras.

I think to be successful there one needs determination to do well and DSLR camera is absolutely necessary. Its one of the best websites and certainly they want the best of photographs.

If you have DSLR then surely you can make money. For example there are some of the DSLR images which look lot different than the phone images. As of now I don't have DSLR camera. And also not much experience with having the photo edited or retouched. So that is one reason I am not much getting sales anywhere on photography sites. I may have to work harder on that part and buy the camera.

Yes photography is one really hard skill. Just using filters and stuff is easy on phone. But those photos are not accepted by the sites. As the selling photos are not filter type. So you can see that there are some of the good tutorials out there and one can learn from those tutorials. I have seen most of the people who are selling their images are making use of the DSLR images without much filters.

Exactly! DLSR cameras can give better shots. Phone camera lenses cannot equate to the service that DLSR can give. I want to have DLSR camera someday.

A guy i know on Narialand.com that took on some of on there on photography tutorial is making some cool cash with shutterstocks at least he showed us payment proof.So yes people are actually being paid it not a scam site.

I think they just need high definition photos not just our andriod phones photos.you could try Amazon kindle you might be lucky with them.

A semi professional or proffessional camera will guarantee you quality photos compared to photos shot using a smart phone. Invest in good photography and you will reap the benefits.

I know that shutterstock is not scam but your photo needs to be of high quality to get accepted. I will try to see what Narialand is all about. Do I have to pay for the tutorials?

Yeah we should be careful while uploading our Id proof and actually i already did that on Pico workers and many are not interested to let them know more about there life so many don't like to upload stuffs like that. I am not much into posting photos to earn some money so you can do me a favor and if you manage to earn some money from this website, do share your lovely experience with us as who knows, even i can join you there after buying a DSLR camera.

Never tried this website and looks like I can try that in future when I buy a good camera
