A clever hacker posing as a trader stole around $250000 worth of Bitcoin and Monero from Bisq exchange. The company already had a major flaw in its security systems and the hacker clearly took advantage of that. Nevertheless, the company needs to make sure that such attacks don't happen in the future.

Man I really hate these black-hat hackers who go around stealing everyones hard earned money - what does this hacking mean in the long run for crypto - is it bad and does it allow more attacks to occur or is it good that security will be improved?

Wow, see what laxity in security has caused that some huge amount of money gone with a criminal. I think there should be stiff penalty in place for hackers

Many obscure and smaller exchanges are still having security vulnerabilities literally everywhere, that's why beware if you use little-known exchanges.

Maybe individuals should look for ways of protecting their details when used on a site. Some sites are just not secure enough. In the Advent of hacking both sites and users are sometimes affected.

Simply always look for reviews before using an exchange services or any other online program/site/whatever. When there's someone complaining about something, raise your guard.

oh, that's such a bad news for them, well, i hope they learned from what happened (even if it costed them a lot of money which is not easy to lose) and improve their security system .

Even some little known exchange sites uses more security than that of a popular exchange sites , its all about the site to get more techniques and security incase of hackers

Alright, give me example of little-known exchanges that have better security that the bigger ones. More serurity layers means more money needed, and not all exchanges have enough funds to improve their security. There's no technique to avoid hackers, all of the added security layers require additional investment.

I can see this exchange is still running , it has not been closed . I guess they have improved a lot after the hack , has anyone tried to buy bitcoin from this site Bisq?

I dont know because I don't have access to their site, but I have seen popular sites been hacked

Alright thanks for the suggestion , I want to ask a question, why is it that popular sites like Facebook (users account) that have more security layer are been hacked.

If they must be up and running honestly they will need to spend more money to be on security certified as exchange platform because hacking inevitable.
