As reported by Pymnts.com, a group of mysterious hackers had posted the receipt of crypto transaction as donation proof in the dark web. They had donated about 10,000 USD to two different charity organizations - Children International and The Water Project. They used the non-profit block service called The Giving Block to process the transaction. A representative of Children International said that they will not keep the fund if the source is indeed from hackers.

I think they should use the funds since it might be from a white hacker and not a dark hacker and it should be properly utilized in various sections

I think they tried to help the charity organization but then their money is ill gotten and as such the organization may not accept it in the end . I think they may even have another agenda behind

That is quite interesting. If the hackers meant it as a good deed, what was the need to indirectly publicise it? This has put those charity organizations in a very uncomfortable position.

Crime is a crime, doesnt matter where the money goes. It's cool though they donate some of it to charity, i think they publicize it to protect themselves, some media will make them heroes and stir up public opinion so they would be seen as the "good" guy

They post it as a proof. But yeah, that will make charity organizations feel awkward and pressured by the people because of it.

Ofcourse no one will really neglect the fact that these are stolen money . The problem here is that people think that the money will be helpful to the poor

That is the problem. The charity organizations need those funds, but the public knowledge of the source of the funds may hinder them from using it.

I think it was the hacker's that spoiled the whole thing by making their donations public . Charity work is something one does secretly .

I don't think they want publicity since they are hackers and if media make them popular it would reveal their anonymity that's my opinion tho

Damn,if they refuse to keep the funds because it came from hackers, who benefits from the funds?
That's the latest trend of hackers to steal huge money and donate a little to charity.

The hackers may have some other plans behind , just to show off or something they are donating to organizations. I hope these hackers will be tracked at any cost.

I don't think it might be the latest trends of hackers , I guess those hackers use the opportunity to help those charity since they are in need of help

Am not sure if it's to show off because if it's that reason then they would have revealed their identity so it might not necessarily be for showing off

That's not a good way to help. They can do that with their personal funds. It's like robbing Peter to pay Paul. Most of the hacked funds belongs to normal people too.

If they are robing Peter to pay Paul it can't just be free. Paul must have paid something to receive such offer , so the charity did nothing they just offer to help

Maybe that's how you see it but it can't be justified by any system. The charity platforms will definitely return the funds back to where it was stolen from.

This will be a Laudeble gesture of it isn't from hackers. This is like robbing peter to pay Paul. If this is really from hackers then it should be rejected.

Robbing is not good, can be white hat hackers. I hope they got the money from something that is doing illegal or harm.. And just giving it back to charities.
