Hackers are now using the meme coin Dogecoin to infiltrate computers using a botnet. They are using the Dogecoin wallet to change their location so they can stay untraceable as they use their malware bots to mine for crypto. The attackers run their Monero mining bots mainly on Linux operating systems and perform a Dogecoin transaction to change their location address.

I think I get your point . The virus may come with the coin and thus serves as a medium that can help them hack the wallet afterwards . But then most wallet should have security measures to screen incoming transaction

That's the best preventive measures because people just want to enrich themselves by stealing coins at all costs. More task for wallet developers .

I think it was because dogecoin is easily gotten in faucets and thus more people claim it for free and thus it was a perfect coin to use to carry out this illegal activity .

True . I am a fan of dogecoin and I won't want this coin that I have invested so much time on to go out of market because of actions like this . I hope this is solved soon

Presently I am storing it in the faucet wallet for the mean time pending when the price will rise to a value that I can sell with profit . I just hope that the coin doesn't die

The coin won't die , if you are very patient the price could rise some day, I don't do doge coin as such I engage more on trading .

There are tons of this fake mining websites for dogecoin on the internet. People are allowing them acces to their computers and thats how they get hacked.

Yeah there are tons of doge coin mining site and most even go ahead and ask for your secret wallet details just to scam the newbie

It's not illegal to use dogecoin for trading it's your choice and monera is more easier to mine than bitcoin itself based on my rational checking

A news also came that google ads have monero ads script,after realise google become more strict to allow ads.crypto jacking is become more easy for this monero script
