A well known Russian hacker named Igorevich wanted to pay a company's employee $1 million worth of BTC if he inserted a strong malware in the company's computer. The plans didn't work out thankfully as the employee reported it to the police immediately. If the malware was inserted, then the hackers would have access to all the systems, blocked it, and then may have requested huge ransom from the company. Igorevich was arrested in Los Angeles, USA by the FBI.

Into which company's system he wanted to insert the malware to? If he's good with hacking then he should do it himself, maybe he's just a script kiddies.

That move was a remarkable one by the employee, it is no doubt that most of these hackers succeed in their activities with the help of an insider.

The employee did a very remarkable job by giving more priority to his integrity over money, the offer is mouth watering. The company should reward him or encourage him in a way.

It is a plus to the employee and a clear warning to the hackers that they can easily be caught and money doesn't work to compromise everyone.

maybe he wanted to make it easier for him? coz he knew paying 1 million BTC is nothing compared to what could he get back as a ransom from the company

It was a business strategy and a site offer he felt know one will reject from the can company, he must done his research to know the worth of the company and what they pay their workers.

If the news is true,am so happy that the employee is able to report to the police, because if igorevich was able to hack into the account, alot would be destroyed.

The employee must be a good person to turn down a huge amount of that money paid in bitcoin for something that he may not be traced . Am glad we still have good people in the world .

Wow, that was do good of the employee to turn down a whooping one million dollars worth of bitcoin in order to save the company. He must be a loyal person and deserves a reward. The hacker would have messed up the company financially.

This world isn't safe any longer, some people are just bent on destroying ones business. I commend the staff for the approach he took in tackling it, not every employee can be good as him

Yeah bro , what he did is something most people will not do , the money is enticing and the payment method is safe too , so he will definitely gain in the deal

He may not even be known to have collected the money but the employee prefer everlasting integrity and fame to dirty wealth accumulation.

This is worthy of emulation. It goes a long way to show that not everybody is greedy. Who know what could have happen to company computers. If he has received the money may be it could have still been trace and could have earn him in jail. Honesty pays

The world is truly not safe anymore due to the increasing numbers of hackers. They are people who are relunctant to look for their own ways of earning money and so takes advantage of their coding skills to steal from others.

He may not even be known to have collected the money but the employee prefer everlasting integrity and fame to dirty wealth accumulation.
I hope the company will reward him handsomely afterwards because he just saved the company from incurring loss worth of billions of dollars

He should be rewarded both in cash and in kind so that others can emulate his altitude, also a wake up call to company to update it security measures.

Apart from the employee's inbuit integrity, business owners should also endeavour to spur loyalty in the heart of their workers by treating them well and giving a good work environment.
This is a very good point , it is possible that the worker reflect on the good ways the company has been treating him and the working environment which doesn't deserve him to betray the company.
