2-factor authentication, known as 2fa for short, is an additional layer of security verification that can help prevent hackers from breaking through your account and mess with it. And yet, many people still don't use this feature, thus hacking commonly occurred because of bad or very predictable password combination. Google says that they will soon make 2fa mandatory. It is still unknown if this change will affect the whole globe at once or just in a certain region first.

Its a welcome move, we need to apply all necessary security measures as much as possible to ensure our online safety in both blackmail and loss of funds or what ever cyber attack possible.

google has added a lot of security features that are so good for Gmail accounts. One such feature is where you can configure a log in to be approved to a certain specific mobile device which you have to tap the screen and enter the digits appearing only on the mobile device. That comes quite handy.

Yeah they should effect this , because a lot of users are complaining of hacking lately ,and initiating such would help reduce the rate , i hope google does this faster

I understand what Google is trying to achieve with this but then they should make it optional for people to use the two-factor authentication app. There can be situations whereby people will in his place their phone and as such they will not be able to access their codes which means that their account is going to be locked forever.

That could be a good development because it will allow them to be able to ensure that there is a sense of security on this website especially when it comes to cyber hacking and therefore it will be able to give people more confidence in these websites and their use.

Yeah very true ,it will improvise a sense of security and prevent more hacking ,so I really love it ,I just hope they bring out new security cover that could protect users information from hackers ,most especially securing your Gmail account and so many other account ,it's very important they do so ,it have its own benefit if enabled in the range they actually want it , it really gives people that confidence

Gmail is something that you have to make sure that it has good security because there is a lot of people that tend to store some of their perrsonal and private information on the email address that they have and they get emails from their banks as well and therefore you have to ensure it is safe.

On a personal perspective I have a lot of information that is stored in my email including my college credentials which is stored in my Google drive and also my contacts which is stored in Google contacts. The two-factor authentication policy is going to ensure that this private information are well secured.

This is very true ,so many people credentials are stored in their Gmail account and making it private should be the main goal ,I think before registering for any platform ,the said person should have a separate Gmail account for what he is registering for and the personal Gmail account where he or she could store some kind of important private information in that range

That is eactly what i do as well. I have one personal gmail that i use for all of my daily work and my personal activities and then i have one that is linked to all online earning that i do and i think that this way it makes sure that i am protected in the case of a hack.

Its good like that ,it's a way to prevent your real Gmail from being hacked ,I guess hackers actually creates sites and send ramdom links to the person Gmail account ,so if the person register ,there would be real possibility of the person Gmail account being hacked at that moment ,it's really best to get another separate one

The reason that i ave chosen to do this is that there was once a time that i wwas a victim to a hacl and therefore all of my personal accounts were compromised and all of the funds that i had were drained and therefore it was a massive loss for me that changed my life.

I feel google is equally tired getting complain about a particular issue of losing account to fraudster.
Knowing fully well the credence that comes with owning a google account and the fact that it ties to practically all our application and our mail, this will definitely be for the Best.

On a personal perspective I do not like the two-factor authentication. I am personally logged out of my Facebook right now because I misplaced the phone in which I register the two-factor authentication and right now I have to go through a long process in order to recover it. Using of your email and phone number most at times is mostly enough to provide security.

Google is a very huge company and should have upgraded to using a two factor autentification for a very long time in order to assist their customer in securing their account from hacker who always breaks into their account easily and mess it up since they are using a predictable password combination.

It is understandable why Google going to make it mandatory. At least there every year comes new people with enough knowledge to hack accounts and without 2FA it is easy one account to be hacked. My account was attacked more than 10 times with different ips. I dont know how theyy crack my password when I am using numbers and symbols on it ..

Google is trying to prepare for future occurrences and possibilities in case there's a hacker who want to hack into people personal profiles on Google and thats the reason why the 2Fa is very important to secure your account from the future hacking problems,

That's true. If John and Jack Doe lose their mobile or their mobile got stolen or broken, goodbye Google account, if they didn't know in advance how to back-up their 2FA app to be used by another device. Or if they didn't write down the Google recovery codes. Not all people are so experienced to make such things work even during the worst circumstances. In those cases, maybe the best is to regularly change the password (and never setting easy passwords). And never open a suspicious e-mail, never open an e-mail from unknown people.

I think it is better because it will help us to protect our account a lot of people want to ask some people's account and do evil with it but we do this verification, We will be able to secure our account. If from Google I am pleased to retest and I hope it begins very soon

There is usually a very big tug of war that happens whenever people that their phones are stolen or had a problem with the application that had two factor authentication implemented in it. Provided that is insecurity I just advised that they should give enough advice to people in order to use them but then it should not be compulsory at all.
