As reported by Techcrunch, After Google trying to enforce its 30% pay cut on its regional Playstore in India, no less than 150 startups companies in the country formed a coalition in order to halt the policy. They also began to look for alternative store which has lower store cut. Because of the protest Google decided to suspend the cut rate in India even though the company would still go with the same rate everywhere else.

I believe that these companies actions was the reason why they stopped the bill. Indeed, Google should have thought this out before trying to implement it, many of these companies may still leave the play store

I think Google should stop the the low cut , because they might lose more companies since they aren't satisfied with it at all there could be another solution

The c9mpany might not have seen the need for Google percentage cut that is why the reacted and it worked for them. Google should leave it at that for now

In 2018 Google introduced this 30% cut, now only new policy was everyone have to only use Google's billing system which will automatically cut 30% fees, this is not enforced now but delayed to 2021, for India it is delayed to 2022. This is not suspended, but delayed.

from a side, the RPM/CPM in india is too low, which means, even if the USD has a higher value than indian rupee, devs won't receive that much of money due to the low CPM, so this cut was unnecessary :(

Yes this is unnecessary, app makers earn with their hard work, Google if charge such cut, then app developers will look for alternatives, in India, even tax rate low earners is 0 to 25% , Google was too high.

I have to say that I really wish that there are many other alternatives that could compete with Google, however, there is hardly any at all.

There are some alternatives, but they are not as popular as Google play. Even Amazon App is an alternative, however not much like Google play, features are also important.

Alternatives, yeah! However, not on the same competitive height with Google play and that is why those developers are unable to just opt out of google play no matter how much they would want to.

At least more jobs will not be lost and the would be affected companies will have time to restrategise on the way forward when the decision is finally kicked in.

Goog;e's behave may have opned door for alternatives, people will
slowly leave google if they get these cuts. We too have to be ready to move to alternatives to encourage those freelancer business.

For now, those app owners also have to find alternative or they will have no choice if later Google implement this cut.
