Google has its pros and cons but alot of us have benefited from the app. Their search engine is awesome. I got some drugs from a phamacist based on doctors recommendation.so I decided to search Google for the side effect and precaution s.which it did ,better than if my doctor has explained it.

I have to agree that google is the king of tech companies. It never ever enters my head to use any other search engine. I have a Gmail account as well. But I find Google Chrome can be sluggish, so I open it in Safari and it's a lot smoother that way. I'm actually surprised at the amount of services it offers! it has also come out, that on google devices, even thou you turn off certain tracking features, they still run in the back ground. the same with fake book, you turn off features but they still run in the back ground. they are stalking you, selling your private info, etc. but these big companies have a genetic excuse for when the invade your privacy - they say its for ads, promotions, publicity, etc. big tech is just as evil as google.

thats why i went back to a dumb phone. i value my privacy. i also did something to protect my privacy, not just complain about it.

One course I have taken though with just the basics is cybetsecurity and do much was reviewed in the course including a possible common way people get hacked.You are right that we just have to apply as many measures as we can in order to stay safe online.

But some some of the platforms will a still steal data and sell it to third parties.That is the irony of it all.Donot get all cooked up,just play safe and you do not need to be anti-internet.J just play safe and go get your smart phone again.

im not anti internet. i never said i was. smart phones, in my humble opinion, are the stupidest things i have ever seen. the way people are manipulated by them & use them, is pathetic. we humans should be the master of technology, but smart phones clearly show that humans have become slaves to technology.

i work online in a number of different things. i think the internet is great. what i dont lke is that we have been convinced we have to give up our privacy, so that scum bag companies like google can use us for profit. people like to joke about my dumb phone & tease me about it, in good nature. im the 1st to make fun of my dumb phone. a number of things have happened. people know i work online & when i say i dont want to be bothered by emails, whatspp, etc, in my free time, they agree. for example, when im working on my farm, enjoying nature, the last thing i want is to be bothered by some stupid email, face book post etc. other people i know are also going back to dumb phones & breaking the chains their so called smart phones have on them. other people have even told me that the wish they could go back to a dumb phone but cant, because of work or other reasons.

I like the two hashtags #Long live the dumb phone #dumb please phone rocks,Okay I have heard your line of thought and philosophy. The sad part is that there is a sect of society that is powerful.Avoiding them is just by us as individuals enduringt that we understand products and services we expose ourselves to.But getting too complex about this will just ruin your day.If you know and already have a philosophy you stick to then that is great.

I am not bringing a debate but rather submitting that Google has made alot of strides to enhance security features and it is on their part aswel to safeguard our private data.We have to stress that anyone who has access to our data knows that we are protected by the GDPR and they should safeguard our data whilst upholding the global data protection regulation.

here are a few articles, that i was reading this morning. about google & fake book. to back up what i was saying. they are just a few that come out daily on independent news sites. these articles you wont see on major news sites or on fake book. you can find them on google thou. google even gives back search results that directly harms them. you also have the fbi & the department of justice invading peoples privacy. its absurd how we have as humans have freely given up our right to freedom & privacy, in the name of convenience.

We have to stress that anyone who has access to our data knows that we are protected by the GDPR and they should safeguard our data whilst upholding the global data protection regulation.

in theory we are protected. but in reality its all just for show. what happens is that big tech, google, etc., will pay a small fine for breaking these laws. the fine they pay is far less than what they have earned, from breaking these laws. so they dont care, they still have made money even when they break these laws. then any money they pay, gets written off as a tax deduction. so its a win - win situation for them. and they know it.
