Google Adsense reviews.png
Google AdSense is an advertising network that you can join if you own a blog or a website. Before attempting to join this network it is a good idea to understand how Google AdSense works and what is required from you. Many websites and blog owners use Google AdSense to earn money renting out ad space on their site each month. A website should have a good amount of content, keywords, and traffic that visits the site each month. The amount of traffic and the type of content that is posted on your site will determine how much you can earn using this network. Many websites and blog owners swear by Google AdSense and they earn a hefty amount of money each month through this network. There are some site owners that have earned $5000 to $45,000 a month through Google AdSense.

How To Join Google AdSense:
  • In order to join the network, you're required to fill out an application with AdSense.
  • The application process is quite simple and they will require you to supply them with your website or blog site URL.
  • The network needs an email address so they can contact you with their answer.
  • You'll need to agree to the terms of service and fill out some personal information such as your name, address, location, and phone number.
  • Once your application has been submitted to Google AdSense, it will take around 7days for the network to review your site and give you an answer. Google will send you an email if they have approved your site or your site has been rejected for one reason or another.
  • I did find out if you have registered with Google Console it is a lot easier to get your website or blog approved.
  • Once you've been approved, you'll receive a code from AdSense that must be placed on your website. The code needs to be placed between the <head> and the <head> tags on your site.
  • If you own a WordPress website or blog, it will be necessary to use a plugin to place this code on your site. Google doesn't recommend that you edit the header information on your site. Once a theme is updated the information will be deleted.
  • After the code has been placed on your site, go back to your dashboard and let Google know you are ready to start receiving ads on your site.
How Google AdSense Place Ads?

AdSense places ads on your website in one of 4 ways:
  • Targeted content – they check the content on your site to place the ads.
  • Contextual targeting – this is determined by your keywords, font size, word frequency and the overall links on your site.
  • Placement targeting – advertiser will request a certain placement for their ads on the different sites. They can also choose which sites to run their ads on.
  • Run of network targeting – an advertiser can choose all the sites in the network to place their ads on or they can eliminate a few of the sites.
How Are You Paid by Google AdSense?
  • Once your site has reached the threshold of $100 the company will send you a letter with a PIN code. This is used to verify your identity and the information that you used when signing up for the AdSense. This is only sent out once and it is normally when you first join the network.
  • Each account has a threshold that must be met by the end of each month. Normally this is $100 in your account. If you don't meet the threshold for a month the money is carried over to the following month.
  • The company pays everyone on the 21st of the following month.
  • You can choose to be paid by Electronic Funds Transfer, Single Euro Payment Area, wire transfer, a check, or by Western Union Quick Cash.
  • If you live in certain countries the network might require you to give them your tax ID information.
Does anyone have experience with Google AdSense?

This is a legitimate ad network that actually pays you for placing ads on your website or blog. Share your opinion!

Some of my friends do write and involve with AdSense, but sometimes the readers only write the content but never click on the ads, thus it's a bit hard to earn via ads in this case.
They might need up to half a year to accumulate the minimum cash out level, sometimes.
Thus, I never touch this part.
I think this is just the down side of using Google adsense,I think it takes too long for starters to really make money with Google adsense.one needs tons of visitors to get going and another problem is getting them click on the ads.All the same others are making money from the system so I believe is doable.

Can't agree more! Some readers who read your articles many time but never click the advertisement as it's not a forceble one. So, only can request and request the readers to click on the advertisement at the bottom of the article everytime, think have to make a disclaimer on this. Haha!

Unfortunately many bloggers and webmasters are obsessed badly with Adsense. They stopped thinking beyond it. I was a victim of clickbombing in 2014 and Adsense brutally banned my account without getting into the facts. I didn't commit anything against their policy guidelines. I appealed with all the traffic proofs but they were not willing to reinstate my account. So I wrote an article covering Google's monopoly, bad support and one sided strategies affecting innocent publishers. The irony is that Google has ranked my article on the first page for high competitive keywords. Then from 2014 till date I had tried more than 50 ad networks and I'm happily earning more or equal to Adsense publishers. So, publishers must not rely completely on Adsense. Agreed that it has high CTR but it doesn't mean that there are no other ways to monetize. There are many alternatives like Affiliate marketing, direct ads and paid(Sponsored) posts.

Hi for me Google Adsense is legit because according to my research it help us to earn money using this application. There also a thread where you can find Google AdSense, but i believed it is legit, there ads are available in several types or format.

If you can handle the traffic in some of the thing is that it can be easier to make money. but adblockers seems to be reducing the earning. and that seems to be the idea killer as of now. so we have to consider as well.

but adblockers seems to be reducing the earning.
There are scripts to block Adblock users, we have it here on BeerMoneyForum.com as well.
When a site sustains itself from ad revenue is normal to block adblockers in my opinion.

Years ago, I tried to work with Google-ADSense.
But I did not understand almost anything about how it works!
Perhaps I, being Italian, I found difficulty to understanding.
However, according to your description, it looks like a great advertising network site.
Thank you
Alessandro

About a week ago I made 6 years since I signed up with Google Adsense, also they made 15 years since their own existence. That's cool!

Overall I like their program, with a small piece of code you monetized your website, however, I'm more focused for the last couple months on bringing direct advertisers, definitely lot more cash coming in this way and I highly advise anyone having sites with high traffic, look for direct sponsors guys, build your own products, that's how you make it big online.

AdSense per se isn't difficult to use or to avail of to monetize your website as long as you follow religiously their guidelines. In case, you don't understand it. They have set of technical team to assist you.

Not in my case, I had been denied three times for clicking my site to check how does the ads work in my page. I failed to heed their warning. Until now my site hasn't enjoyed the monetary benefits from AdSense.

Quick question for anyone else using Google AdSense as an alternative to monetize their website.
Are you guys receiving lately "You have ad crawler errors, which can result in lost revenue." notifications?

I can see my site up and running without problems and still Google AdSense crawlers say "Hosting Issues: Server Overloaded", "Unknown Error" and "Url Issues: Page Not Found".

Is this a bug on their end or I do have some serious problems and this could potentially make me lose revenue? Thanks for your input guys!

Need some advice
If starting a user generated content site like quora will get my google Adsense account approved.

Got few site ideas

Social network
Question and answer site
News website(entertainment kind of gossips)

Advice please

Hi guys, both of my sites got accepted by Google adsense and at the beginning i was earning like 0.10 a day lol. I never thought Adsense will work for me so i just let it be.Two days ago i entered the account again and i saw i was reaching 14 e a day.(i was like wow, how??)
But i had to verify my payment adress, so they could send my payment.
I was shocked, like how did that even happen, so i was trying to see how to verify my adress, but it seems i need a pin code.
Now comes the shi**y part, I wrote my address incorrectly....So they Pin they sent me wont ever reach my adress.
Can i somehow request a new pin..? Can i contact somehow the adsense team ?

A very good friend of mine did the same thing like you, put fake contact details and he never got the PIN, I have tried but without any success to edit the address on his Google Adsense account, and now he lost the chance of monetizing his youtube channel with 10,000 subs, now he started a fresh channel and this time he passed the 1000 subs mark but still need 4000 watching time hours to apply for Google Adsense.

These being said, I doubt there's a way to contact Google Adsense team and correct your address.

Hi, well I know that you can request a pin after 4 weeks, they give you that option, tho I was curious if I could do it faster.

How can i use adsense on a URL shortener without getting banner?
I see a lot of URL shortener using adsense, how they do it without getting banner?

Hello,

Adsense has some strict rules that you need to have. Some possible reasons are, Your site is not older than 6 months and/or there are other ads that Adsense doesn't want. They don't like other ads on the same page as their ads. These are 2 main reasons I got rejected from Adsense. I hope it helped you a bit.

We've found some policy violations on your site which means your site isn't ready to show ads yet.

  1. Valuable Inventory: No content
Google thinks there is not much content on your site. You have a bit of text on the front page but it's not so much. I understand that you have a Url shortener service en that you don't have to get much content. But maybe try to add more content and look for someone who also has an Url shortener with Adsense, maybe they can help you further. The design looks nice.

I'm not using Adsense but many ad network accept everybody but ban after owner request payout. Also, it's weird how Adsense accept those sites since they don't have content. They just short url and redirect it. Their content are ads.
