What Is FreeDNS.Afraid.org?
FreeDNS.Afraid.org is a static and dynamic DNS (Domain Name Servers) subdomains and domains hosting platform. You can take advantage of all DNS settings, and they are the following namely: CNAME (Canonical Name record), A record is the one used to point to an IP (Internet Protocol), MX (Mail Exchanger entry) entry which uses the email SMTP (Simple Mail Transmit Protocol) record, TXT (text record) which keeps the domain authority and whatever text input you want server admins to see but it's hidden from public laymen, AAAA Record which I don't use, creation of unlimited subdomain name if your hosting control panel is so limited, and forwarding via web forwarding, A record, Cname record for the domains hosted on their platform.
Statistics
They have currently 3,364,437 members, out of which they have 3,959 premium members, with records of 10,281,163 including mine, and with 1,097,348 zones into it. You can have like 50+ subdomains, 3+ stealth (hidden) flags, your very own wildcard DNS for only U.S.$5.00/month now accepting bitcoins.
Company Behind
The platform is owned by Joshua Anderson in 2001, which is just his profitable hobby.
Technical Specifications
They got their domain name registered in September of 1999 from Enom, Inc., and he owns a dedicated server to deliver this high-speed and free services. So basically Josh offers free and premium services with this platform.
Making Money
Up until you can't afford a web hosting you can use this to appear as owning many subdomains and even domains that forwards to one web address or one blog, either you want it, this website will make you money indirectly. There's no affiliate program as I've seen, but will they need it having three million membership at the time of this review.
PROS and CONS:
PROS:
- I like and fully support their services since I was a free and still a free member.
CONS:
- Nothing at the time of this review.
