I am not sure if everyone already knew this, but I just knew that there are many free courses at Udemy. I just bumped into Udemy website yesterday, and found that they are running a huge discount sale now. Many courses are as low as $11.99. Then I saw some courses are free at Udemy. I did a Google search and found many websites that show free Udemy courses.

You can search for "free Udemy courses", and you will find a list of search results.
Or you can search for "free Udemy courses" in Udemy search box, you will get a list of free courses as well.
You can also go to a topic, say Python, and then select the filter "free", and you'll get a list of free courses at Udemy. I can't believe there are 123 free Python courses.

For those who would like to learn web design or development, I think Udemy free courses might be a good place to go. I just found out there are even "Passive Income" courses. I am going to check it out. :p

congratulations xD
found many websites that show free Udemy courses.
there's a website ( i don't know if it's allowed to share websites that contain torrents ) with 'udemy' in its name , and it got a lot of free courses including photoshop , adobe premier and similar softwares for free and you can download them through torrent .

This is great for those that have looking out for free courses in programming, though I might prefer the discounted courses I think it will be the full package for greater knowledge than the free courses.

i came across a free 'Adobe illustrator ' recently and it was free , once i downloaded it , i found out that it lacks ton of things , i mean , the whole courses is only about how some particular tools work and the course maker made a little practical exercice , not worth the time you spend on to be honest , but the point in free courses , is that you have to read comments & feedbacks first , some of them are decent ( like the C course i picked up ) and some of them not worth even browsing xD

Udemy free courses never meets the needs of a developer or a designer as they lack practicality most of the time and only 'scratch the surface' of any topic.I think it is better to compile vidoes from selected Youtube, though it is not targeted specifically towards elearning,as the content are better there.

There is no need to pay for most learning courses online if you know where to look for the "free" version. Just be careful with those leaked version though, use Virus total to scan the files before downloading.

Hey there, I have heard a lot of good things about Udemy but haven't really tried it out before, so I wanted to ask that after I finish my course, do i get a certificate or something, and is that actually a valuable resource to have, thanks for letting me know.

Yes, you do get a certificate from then after course completion. But the worth will vary from employer to employer. Some courses on Udemy are extremely popular and could be easily found out on the website. If your employer searches for a course, then they are going to get many results and those that are most likely comes first would get the attention quickly. Some employers may not even bother looking up as they don't give any value to such certificates.

Oh hey there, thank you so much for this information, I am now looking forward to taking a course at Udemy, especially since we have so much free time these days due to the pandemic. Thanks, once again.

If you want to obtain a new skill and don't think about the certificate's worth, then it is no problem. I would suggest the courses from creators who are quite renowned.

Yes they always run huge discounts there's also a huge site to be aware of discounts when they happens on udemy called discudemy
I always use and I got some real interesting courses

Free udemy courses usually have very good reputation because they are used to advertise the course owner's account and represent the quality of his other courses, if the free course of his is great, the paid course will be a lot better.

Those who want to opt for free online courses may check out alison.com,edx.com before udemy as they offer a wide range of courses from different MOOCs.

They were giving away free courses during this COVID-19 pandemic. I'm not sure, still going on or not. However, now you can find those paid course (free during pandemic) on the torrent sites.

Yeah you are right . Many of these free courses don't just cut it. The best thing to do is to go for paid courses if you can spare some dollars. If you can't , you might as well try getting them via torrents.

Most of the courses on udemy app where you will just need to insert a free coupon to get to the course are usually people who are just launching it for the first time. They are mostly not getting all the requirements that is expected as the hope to build it up with time but there are some that are definitely worth the try.

To be honest there is really no benchmark to which one is going to be the most suited for you. There are some courses that you can be able to find that are of high quality and are for free so I think the most important thing for you to look at is a core structure. You can always use free courses in order to learn the basics about that particular thing and the more you progress up then you can be able to buy paid courses to explain better.
