I find Facebook easier than expected in the sense that when you add someone, they will most likely accept your friend request. But what about the social media sites I've mentioned above, how does one gain followers on those sites?

I can help you with instagram. There's lots of ways to gain followers:
First: Post different type of content regularly and analyze which has the best performance
Second: Post more content like the posts that worked in Carousel
Third: On your stories post content which make your followers to vote and participate
Very important: Make your own content, don't download and repost posts form other accounts. It doesn't matter if you use the same image, change the font and put your own water mark.

There are many free applications on google playstore, many are fake but some are legit. They do however function differently. Some apps randomly send follow requests to users while others, provide you with bots or fake followers.

i'm just wondering why people use these, there's actually no usage or purpose for that except it increases numbers that make no sense, you need active people if you want to promote your stuff and not virtual fake numbers
