Ripple founder Chris Larsen is building an exclusive surveillance network in San Francisco to control theft and robbery. Crime rates in San Fransisco are quite high and people get robbed out of nowhere. Larsen decided to fix this issue by deciding to install digital cameras all over the area and the best thing is he will provide all the necessary funding. The people of the area will have direct control over those cameras. What do you think of his idea?

I hope Chris Larsen can handle this very carefully, on one hand this surveillance system can be used to reduce crime, on the other hand criminals can hack into the system to aid them in their crimes.

Yes criminals do hack the systems to bypass and do what they want to do , but if there is high security and computer personnel it will be very difficult for such to happen

There's a weak link in every security system, in this case greed can take over the operator of the system and make it possible for criminals to utilize it.

Sure greed can make such thing happen, its left for them to have trusted personnel regulating it ,so as to reduce the rate of such occurance

This will no reduce the crime rate in the region despite the challenges owning to the fact that few criminals can hack into the system , the more they hack the more improve in security measures.

i see this surveillance security cameras has a wasting of money because it does not solve any crime.. instead of this he should donate the money to less privilege around the neighborhood.. atleast with that i will help and enpower them and also reduce the crime rate.

This is a good but the source of crime should be identified before donations though i still believe that the security camera will solve the problem.

Most people are still selfish even if they are empowered they would still find means to steal ,its better they use security camera because not everyone can be empowered

haha.. lol.. you are right mate.. there are some crazy people in this world if tho they get empowered they will will still go back to there old ways.

The best is not empowering them , if the security cameras can be hacked he should donate to the security unit of the region as boost to their security funds to enable them police and the likes function effectively.

Well, one way to prevent hacking is to make sure that the one who operates the system is well paid so that he doesn't feel the need to take on bribes from criminals.

That's a good opinion though very difficult to find such person except he is going to be someone from the environment where such havock is unleashed on such that he will have his people at heart.

I think it is a good idea and a good move by the man . it is also a good strategy which will make him and his cryptocurrency popular because when people ask who installed the cameras , his name will be mentioned

Let see how the surveillance network will work to tame criminals, there could be challenges but they can improve on, I wish him more success in this project.

What do you men? Some employees are betraying the company they work for because said company underpaid them, it doesn't matter from where the employee was, as long as he's well-fed he has less incentive to take bribe from hackers.

Even without underpaying them , some employees are so greedy that they will jump into any act that will satisfy their selfish interest .
This is why most employer are very strict with their employees.

Even if they are well paid human being are naturally greedy and over ambitious they can easily be tempted by huge amount of money they have not seen nor heard of

I was merely saying that paying your employee the pay they deserve will reduce the chance of bribery by external threats. It's funny how you guys suddenly changed your minds like this, the other day Derector said that he will still believe in EU despite the many corruption cases they have, and generally, you guys are believing in humanity goodwill but now suddenly no longer believe in the employees' goodwill.

No doubt @Emoney , there are still very good people that money can easily buy their conscience, I am stil holding to that fact but that doesn't mean that people can't be bought especially the young generation that are in hurry to make huge amount of money. Let hope the the project get completed.
