Ron Paul a former Congress member while speaking on kitco news said in his opinion that bitcoin is a form of money and there should be legal frame work that will allow it to compete the US dollars and every one should have the freedom to choose the form of money he desire.

He further said that his opinion may not be realistic because government of the United States will definitely put in laws that will limit the use of cryptocurrency there by strengthening the US dollars.
What do you make from his expression?

There is some truth in his submission. I don't really think that the US government will be so relaxed as to letting the dollar weaken so much without intervention.

Not competing with usdollar ,bitcoin should be independent and should stand on it's own rather than competing with us dollars and some other currency

Yeah they won't even think of relenting to have their own monopoly and start controlling money again like they usually do in the market

I think its the crypto currency that is even helping the us dollars , if not the us dollars would have devalue more ,since the citizens are now investing in bitcoin to reduce inflation

As more dollar was pumped into the economy most citizens decided not to keep their Investment in US dollars but in cryptocurrency in case of financial melt down.

This is why it seems that we may not have a global acceptance of Cryptocurrencies because governments may feel uncomfortable with people using a tender they have no control over.

He should not look into comparing crypto currency with dollar ,because the government might look into this because of what he just said ,i see no comparison because crytois helping dollar
