I have tried all aspects of sports betting and I have discovered that making reasonable profits from it is not easy at all. In the end if you are not careful, it can affects one's finances negatively.

I don't do forex trading for now, but I see many testimonies of people saying they make consistent profit from it. But it seems I would need more capital for Forex.

Are you into both? Which do you think is better?

I don't take the two to be gambling. Sports betting alone is gambling, but forex trading involves strategy and use of skills to earn profits.

The fact that you can learn the skills makes forex trading less risky than sports betting. Plus there are features in forex trading such as the stop loss that prevent you from loosing all your money.
It is very correct that forex is not gambling but sport betting is a gamble. You shouldn't forget that there are so many people making livelihood from sport betting. I will call it a luck on their side because it is not really easy to make money in gambling not to talk of making livelihood from it.

Both Forex trading and sport betting has their own form of risk. In life every individual always has place of favour, some people are always lucky playing sport bet while some are not that lucky. Forex is more realistic to me than sport betting. Asset or investment can be protected in Forex and there are tool to use for your analysis.

They are both classified under high risk investment because there is high disk in forex trading and likewise in sport betting. The way out is to play Safe and adopt proper risk management strategy.

It is better to minimise risk so as not to blow your account in forex trading or sport betting. If possible, you can adopt in Risk free strategy whenever you are trading Forex or into sport betting.

I know both Forex and sport betting come with a very high risk but the risk in Forex can still be minimize to some extend compare to sport betting. In sport better their are actually no correct data for analysis, it is basically on pure luck where as Forex can still be analyze correctly at times.

I'm into sport betting before and it has not helped me in any way. I also know people who played it and I have not seen anyone that can boldly declare that sport betting has help him. Sport betting is based purely on luck. For forex trading, I am not into it, but I have friends who are trading forex. One thing I can say about it is that it's better than sport betting. I know what I just stated is debatable. If would argue, I will based my argument on the fact that knowledge can be used to minimize the risk involved in forex trading. But for sport betting, knowledge has little or no effect on it.

Yes, in forex, you can analyze the chart with various types of indicators and price action strategies however, this is totally impossible in sports betting. Sports betting analysis is not like a systematic analysis like Forex; instead, it is like a true gamble where you may guess.

Where in forex, it is also uncertain, yet you can minimize those uncertainties with calculated risk management.

That is correct. Analysis makes forex trading much more safer than sports betting. You don't need to risk loosing your hard earned money through sports betting when you could learn forex trading skills and use them to earn.

Forex trading, albeit it comes with high risks, can be controlled through technical and fundamental analysis. It allows for taking of calculated risks.

I don't know anything about forex, but you see sports betting...thing is out to add burden on your life.

I think forex is an elder sibling to punting though

The risk that is involved in football betting and forex trading cannot be overemphasized as they are both categorised under high risk investment programs.

I will strongly advise that proper risk management strategy should be adopted whenever treading these line.

I have never tried Forex trading too but I have a lot of friends who are into it. I think Forex trading is better. Let me tell you my reason. In Forex trading, you need to learn how to read charts which will help you predict the next price rightly. But when it comes to sports betting, you don't know what to predict. It is always a 50/50 chance. But in Forex, you can learn the skill and always trade successfully

Both of the predictions in forex and sport betting require some level of expertise and professionalism. There are some experts in sports betting that would predict very correctly 8 matches out of 10 and that is a pass mark. My conclusion is that, if you do not have some level of knowledge in sports betting or Forex, it will be a colossal loss investing in them.

understand your point that Someone needs to have a level of expertise before you can trade on forex or engage in sports betting but I think forex is better because you will be able to read charts and trade in a way that it will give you an insight to what the next price will be maybe it will be low or it will be high but betting which is human action, we never can tell what will happen on field

For me, I'm going to classify the risk involved in forex trading and sport betting as the same irrespective of the fact that you would need to study the chart in Forex, you will also need to study related charts in the form of odds in sport betting. My point is that you need to put an amount of money that you can afford to lose in both the forex trading and sport betting.

There's someone who's into sports betting and recently decided to trade forex and he came back to me to say that he is better off being addicted to sport betting than ever trying to trade in the Forex market. One thing that many don't know bus that forex trading can be very dangerous, even more than any gambling game you've ever played before and that's for those who didn't take their time to get the necessary information and knowledge needed to trade in the Forex market.

If you jump into forex trading, you will definitely jump out of it with lot of losses. The reason is that forex needs a lot of knowledge and you should be patient enough to read and learn a lot of things most especially if you are not in the financial management niche where you must have been conversant with the Forex terminologies.

You're right about that. When the matter is actually forex trading then there's really no need for a rush. I know of a friend gat have been learning about this forex trading for about two years now without trading actively on a real account.

It needs a thorough research and investigation before you would take any trading position. All you need to do is to stay calm and relax yourself by getting in front of the screen and analyse the chart almost all the time before you take the decision and it must be done technically and fundamentally too.

It is simply as asking which one is better, business or gambling?
Forex trading is a business while betting is gambling. And there is no how we are careful, when we place some bets, there is always many lose with very slim chance of winning. So forex trading is better than gambling our money.

But the person has taken too long in learning. Is it likely that they are not courageous enough to start trading? Fear can hinder you from starting something even you have learnt so much in it.

Anyway, no rush. Let him take his time and start trading when he is confident enough. That will be very beneficial to him.
