Hi everyone,

FluidStack is a cloud platform that serves websites from a network of consumer devices (instead of large data centres). We save websites money, and put unused hardware to good use.

Sponsored: BeerSurveys.com - Earn 10$ per Day doing Tasks, Try Apps, Complete Surveys.

We are looking for beta users to run FluidStack nodes. This means installing the software and leaving it running in the background. The software will detect when your device isn't being used, and then it will use a small amount of your bandwidth and CPU to test our network and serve web content.

The requirements are a good internet upload speed, a Windows desktop computer, and uPnP. We pay between $5-$50 per month (more for better internet speeds) to have the node running. If accepted, we guarantee a flat monthly payment amount.

Nice analogy there. I'm planning to try it today within 7days and 3-4hours idle on my computer. I read on the comments that someone has a 50mbps upload speed but not getting a $5 for a month. But I will try lol. With a $0.10 per kWh electric consumption and $25 internetplan with 10mbps lol.

Waiting for payment!

Another payment from FluidStack :) Probably going to keep on using only FluidStack once I receive my money from Honeygain. That's because Honeygain used 30GB of my bandwidth last month and paid a mere 2-3 dollars for it while FluidStack used 500mb and paid me 2.5 dollars + referral earnings.

Does the location matter? On a 1Gb/s uplink and seeing bandwidth of 1.3Mbps on dashboard.

I think that matter but to make money your node must have more than 50% Availability , if the node have less than that I think it´s normal the 1.3Mbps because you are not sharing bandwidth.

Guys, my computer was online whole day yesterday. Today it is showing 0% availability. Should I contact their support or is there a particular time during the day when they update your availability from the previous day?

does it mean that my computer must be running all the time and connected to the internet too , to be able to receive the payment ?
and how is payment divided , I mean who gets 5 dollars and who gets 50 dollars ?

Not even close to mining as your CPU isn't used for calculating anything, you act pretty much as a proxy server and VPSes aren't allowed.
But why VPSes aren't allowed?
Here in my country we have bad internet and I have potato pc :c
I mean using Windows VPS (RDP)

Because most people would use same VPS/dedicated server providers (eg. OVH, Hetzner) which would mean their network of nodes would be located in the same general area whilst FluidStack's goal is to have nodes all over the world. If that explanation wasn't quite clear, imagine being FluidStack's client and you need a node (aka proxy) from Eastern Europe to compare flight prices between UK and Eastern Europe, but FluidStack won't have any nodes there because all Eastern Europeans have rented a server in Germany because it has faster internet connection.

If you have your computer running all the time and connected to the internet you receive more money.

You get 5$ or 50$ depending on mbps shared by month.
