What Is Fiverr?

Fiverr is a pioneering freelance market place where people who have any skill they think they can market can go and market their skills waiting for the right employer to pick them. By the way, freelance means working for someone based on contract and being free to work for anyone you like, any time you want.

Fiverr came into the freelancing world, around 2010 and introduced a freelancing style where you offer to do anything for anyone just for 5 bucks. However, since then it has advanced that freelancers are setting the prices way above 5 bucks.

Here is an example of a logo design page on Fiverr

A typical Fiverr advert goes like this "I will design an outstanding logo for you in 24 hours starting at $5". Another one "I will design a creative logo for you in 4 hours".

What You can Do On Fiverr
Logo Design is not the only thing you can do for people to earn money on Fiverr. There are many more of them.

Fiverr has lots of categories such as Graphic Design (logo design falls here), Digital Marketing, Writing And Translation, Video And Animation, Music And Audio, Programming And Tech, Business and Lifestyle.

Each of these categories have lots of sub categories on them. Here is an example of Graphic Design category sub categories.

Should You Start Working On Fiverr Today?
Yes! Absolutely! If you want to earn money online, there is no reason you shouldn't start working on fiverr today. There's no limit to what you can do. There are skills on all levels needed by employers on fiverr and they pay for it.

Some freelancers even get paid to sing a birthday song on Fiverr. Some get paid to record a video of them dancing to a song. Anything you know how to do, you can find an opportunity to earn money with that on Fiverr.

Actually promoting gigs are more demanding , article writers, bloggers, yoitubers, sellers etc pay to advertise their contents and products. One if can promote their contents/products, are most supported.

Fiverr offered gigs are priced at $5 minimum, but not $5 only, price range is between $5 and $500. There is tough competition between freelancers as buyers ask for better work on lowest price. Even then it works much better and brings so many tasks in different sites/forums; freelancers take order from buyers and distribute among task doers. Only matter is doers of tasks are paid first by freelancers, and freelancers can cashout in fiverr only when they reach minimum $100 to withdraw.
For $5 task, it requires 20 tasks to be completed before able to meet the minimum $100 cash out threshold. How much does the site charge per task as commision?

Fiverr normally will pay $4 out of $5, and also charge fees later for cashout. High fees and late payout is the reason why most of the people like to do task works given by freelancers, and not directly in fiverr because they have to compete with others and pay fees to fiverr to reach cashout and then extra as per Fiverr.

The fees are indeed high in Fiverr. If someone is doing some type of work for a client, and he receives the payment,he pays fees for the deal to Fiverr too.I have seen on payment proofs the fees are pretty high, which Fiverr takes.I understand, that there are some cash that you have to pay for the deal to the site, but those fees are pretty high.I think that Fiverr has a huge income every month.

Yes, me too. FIVERR owners are earning pretty big amount every month. This is really a big business though. More and more clients are shifting for contractual jobs than full time jobs like for example, transcription industry.

I want to start like everyone else make money on/with Fiverr, but I have no knowledge about this program or special skills from my part, all I know is that I can get almost anything done for just $5.

Hello thiers a lot succesful in fiver! but i admit the competition is a bit tough , you need to decrease your offer, so the potential employer will hired you! for that particular job!

Fiverr will not earn you on regular basis due to big competition with experienced gig creators; but there are still some chances to get higher paying clients for more popularity. Creating your own task website and possible luring Fiverr gig freelancers might earn you a share from those fiverr earners indirectly.

If you will offer something unique, and different from the other sellers, maybe you will get a chance to sell your gigs too.I think if you sell 1 gig,and you offer quality, you will receive a positive review, and that will open the path to success.

sure, this is the way to go in Fiverr, but the problem is always getting the first client, even getting to the first page just like Google engine to be seen is a big hinderance because the big sellers wouldn't even want to shift for any space for new comers. But definitely the break through is getting the first client and impressing him or her for referrals.

Advertisers find better deal for themselves, like people with thousands of followers, those who can bring "likes" and "positive comments" on their contents, those who can bring "votes" in their favour. One is required to have such qualities.

is there any chance to be successful without promoting your gig? I find it quite hard as people will always choose the most experienced freelancers

even though I posted my gig like a week ago, it seems quite hard to actually find buyers

No rating, no buyers, you will most likely never see new customers unless you promote your gig.

A good way of promoting gigs is Marketplace, where a little amount can be used to get positive reply and likes. It is hard for newbies to get buyers, buyers will check if you can get them with what result is required.

Yes,first thing, that the buyers look at,is the ratings that your customers gave you after buying your gigs. That's why I didn't get any deal there,on Fiverr, because I never promoted my gigs,or get positive reviews some ways,so in my account was no review at all,and there are sellers with dozens or even 50 or more of positive ratings.

yup, exactly how I thought it is.. unfortunately on these freelancing sites it's generally quite difficult until you actually get started, but after all everywhere you can earn good money it has to be some competition as well :(

Fiverr required marketing for gigs, I create my account in 2014 with fiverr never got any gig sell and I quite the site. Its really difficult as you say.

Base on my experience it is better to start working on paid forums to earn than wasting time on fiver where very few makes the money while others keeps dangling arround

I agree on this, but just partially. I think it isn't impossible to earn there either, but as Mr. B said, promoting your gigs is mandatory. I think it can become rewarding only if you invest in that for a while
