hey which is better for freelancing, i really want to earn some money doing freelance jobs but it takes so much time just to get orders thats why i was thinking maybe i should just build a website and drive traffic to it myself what do you think is better?

Having a website will give potential clients more information about you and your services. It would definitely create more trust.
Absolutely but before going to build your own site you should have registered your confidence and proffesionalism in the heart of your clients

Definitely. It is very important toshow your clients how confident and professional you are in your services. And this will start at the time of application for gigs.

When you are good and keep to time in delivering your jobs your clients won't relenting in contacting you and recommending you in the competitive community.

Definitely when you are professional what you do a lot of people will recommend you to their friends. They will also contact you for more jobs because of your professionalism and expertise.

It is more reason why as a beginner attracts much as possible to train yourself with good content and good professional background and don't rush so that you can stay longer in the market.

Learning the necessary things and having the right skills is very important for you as a beginner. That's what people should be looking at first.

Freelancing sites are full of competition these days. I think building your own website would be better. As long as you can promote yourself really well in social media sites and other platforms.

Having worked on different paid forums couple with access to information regarding online trend it is better to have a blog and monetized it instead of joining freelancing sites .

Fiverr is good when you are rendering or offering services, you can also drive traffic to ur website using Picoworker service or other microworkers.

People earning big from Fiver are mostly people with special skills and beat up time of delivery for their clients. Most freelancers are just struggling.

Personally I will concentrate on fiverr another freelance website because it is possible for me to make money there than a website since there are a large number of visitors in Fiverr and others ,they are known for their freelance services.

Building your own website is good but would take time in terms of driving traffic to your site. It would be easier if you work on a freelancing site.

As a freelancer if you are building your own personal website then you should know that you are not going to get as much exposure as using public freelancers sites like fiverr and Upwork. If you have the necessary capital I will advise you to have both public accounts and also have your own personal website.

A positive mindest is all you need to decide which to adopt. Getting orders on Fiverr is probably among the fastest ways to start earning money. A website will take ample time to get profits depending on your experience. However, building your own website is pretty much the default to aim for if you're goal-oriented about making this into a sustainable endeavour. If your focus is steady progression rather than get-rich scheme, you will succeed. Building a website and driving traffic is a lot good but it may takes longer time before it yield results and if you are not skillful to do it yourself, it will be expensive. Starting in platforms like is not out of place because you can explore different opportunities and tools to build yourself and also earn.

The problem is that both of them are quite difficult at the beginning ,but for better earning opportunity it is the best for you to just start with freelancing platform like Fiverr, if you are able to break the barrier and start having contract then you can really make a lot of money because your rating will be high and people will trust you with their services... And on the other hand starting a website will only take a lot of time to gain the attention of people and their trust.

That's true, the beginning for both is pretty rough and tough. In terms of Fiverr and other platforms like it, the competition there is pretty high so to get noticed might be a major problem there, it would take time to start making cash from the site. Then in terms of opening or starting up your own site, it would be even more difficult to get the traffic needed to visit your site then before you start talking about starting up gigs.

Yes that's why I said that people should rather channel the energy to a freelance platform at the beginning, because in freelance platform you will not need you to go into a serious advertisement once you have been able to fit yourself in.. you might decide to create a website for it later.

Well said, the needed traffic is already there so the work load has been reduced, the only thing you can do at this very moment would be to simply look for ways to attract the people there but in terms of starting up your own site, you would need to work on driving traffic towards you then after that, work on making sales form the traffic.

Other people might really be interested in establishing their own website because they may believe that it is the best as it can help them to make more money , because if you have a website every job that is knocking on your door will be your own and there will be no need for you to compete with other as most people will always do with freelancing platform.. it depends on the one and individual is comfortable with.

That's true, having a website is definitely the best. Just as you said, there is an assurance that any jobs coming is definitely yours and yours alone but I think starting as a freelancer would be the best, it would give you the experience on dealing with various customers and their different characters and understanding, it would also help in creating a solid customer base. Does you might have done one or two jobs for and they love you job, next time once they know you have a site of your own, they would opt for your site to get to you directly.
