hey which is better for freelancing, i really want to earn some money doing freelance jobs but it takes so much time just to get orders thats why i was thinking maybe i should just build a website and drive traffic to it myself what do you think is better?

Building a website and driving traffic is a lot good but it may takes longer time before it yield results and if you are not skillful to do it yourself, it gonna be expensive . Starting in platforms like is not bad cos you can explore different opportunities and tools to build yourself and also earn

Website is a place to show all your company profile and information, it's hard to get some stranger to find you over google or internet, but your prospect will check your information more details once you have provided them with your company URL. I prefer to put my business on Facebook page for reducing annual hosting and domain fee nowadays.

That might be a very good idea.I am reading very often from members posts that the most popular way nowadays to promote your products or websites etc are social media sites.

Of course, you MUST build a website or a blog. This way you can show what you can do, you can write articles, and this way potential clients will find you online. Anyone should have a blog, period! Oh and, on these freelancing platforms are a lot of competition. I would stay away from these websites and I would search my own clients on facebook groups, forums, their websites(contact them with their contact form, e-mail, and call them).

It is correct. You must have your own website if you want to earn some serious cash online. It will take some time, till you figure out the ins and outs of it,but with the free platforms is easy and after that you can buy hosting and domain,if you see that the things start to work out for you with your websites.

I personally sending the lead to my website. I have no interest in fiverr and other platform if I can get referrals on my own website. But the thing is that many buyers prefer fiverr because they are protected. So what we can do is diversify our efforts. Be on all platform and ultimately take the client to payoneer and website setup.

I think it's best to build a good website and use fiverr to get traffic. Aim at giving good service so that clients will recommend you and gradually move over to your website completely

Why don't you combine the two so to have unlimited job supply. Mind you starting out on your own by just building a site to start isn't even easy to drive traffic. So create time and do the two for more work opportunities.

Post about your skills and services in forums like BMF, digitalpoint, emoneyspace, bitcointalk, you will definitely get some orders.
Added to the platforms posted I also believe Facebook and Twitter are platforms to get more followers or subscribers to his or her services.

Owning your own platform (building a website) is better in the sense that it's more sustainable and you get to be in control. The keyword here is sustainable, not quick. Fiverr already has traffic; a newly started website does not.

If you think it takes time getting orders, that might be a problem with mindset. Getting orders on Fiverr is probably among the fastest ways to start earning money. A website will take time to get profitable depending on your experience.

Yet, building your own thing is pretty much the default to aim for if you're serious about making this into a sustainable endeavour. If your focus is steady progression rather than quick bucks, you will succeed.

I do hope to understand what is what absolutely here, I can tell you that in your case it's much better to go with established platform cause making your site popular will take so much money that you can't even expect this much alltogether.

Your idea is gonna take much longer than posting on fiverr and waiting for someone to buy your gig
I advice you to go to Facebook groups entrepreneur ones and offer your work there
you will get some clients for sure

The thing about starting up your own website depends on your level if commitment and dedication, because you you are not skilled enough to do it, you might fail

You
Will really love to start a fiverr job anytime soon, have tried all I could with it but all efforts seems unsuccessful and it's really annoying putting our in something with no results. Anyone here who can mentor me on it will be highly appreciated.
Just have to get a skill to learn and be really good at, once that is done, you open an account with fiverr and fill out key details about you, people will notice you and give you jobs

I do advice that you start first of all with sites like fiverr , because you may end up setting a website and not having client for months . so start with fiverr , when you are now popular there and have earned trust from people you once worked for , you can then build your website and invite them .
