A Dark Web site called Darknet Empire closed down and people are fearing that it might have been an exit scam and thousands of bitcoin could be stolen. The site has been down for 4 days and around 2,638 BTC was taken, worth $30 million. The admins have disappeared and even the authorities have no idea what's going on. I really hope this is not a scam.

This is why people should at least do their own due diligence and looking for a crypto exchange/marketplace with third-party escrow service to prevent their money from getting stolen.

That would be a huge loss for people whose funds are tied there if it were confirmed as scam. Since the authorities are involved, hope they will make sense out of the situation soon enough.

Well, for me I hardly believe anything associated with dark net it always end in scams. I'm just these monies wouldn't ever be recovered because it was operated by scammers

I don't know who would invest in such platform , that have no location or regulation, if truly they run away with people's money ,I guess people would be more enlightened so such won't happen again

It beats me how people could so trust a platform like that with their hard earned money. I wish the was an update on this to know how it ended. I hope people learn from this though.
