Hello everybody, so I am a big fan if horror movies..just wanting to know what your favorite movies are and what makes the movies great.
One of my favorite old times is Nightmare On Elm Street. I have only watched them all in one night one time. All of the good old ones. I don't know what it is but I love those movies.

I have favourites in about all horror movie sections.
Final destination is one of them. The thought of being hunted by death is just cool.
Saw is one of my favourite torture psychopathic movies. The blood and death is epic. Plus I love the plot and twists.
Scream is my favourite psycho movie.
Nightmare at elm street/ Freddy vs Jason. Classic horror movie.

I have many more but those may be top of the list. I hated wrong turn movies because they have meaningless killing.

I am a sucker when it comes to horror movies and I am not sure why. I tend to like the more deep movies that make you think, but when it comes to horror movies I will take a slasher with no redeeming value any day. That said, though, I would still have to say that Psycho is still my favorite all time, but that is because I just love Hitchcock films. I like the Texas Chainsaw ones too though, or anything with stupid teenagers on vacation.

Freddy Vs. Jason is awesome. I myself have not seen all of the Jason movies. It's just the thrill of these classic horror movie characters going against each other is awesome!!!
As much as I love Freddy in a sense I root for Jason. Kind if hard to fully be on one side or the other.

When it come to the saw movies. I really like them. The plot behind is making them realize what they have done wrong in their lives. Whether they make it out alive or not is their choice, their fight to live and redeem their lives...is well exciting to watch.

It's rеаlly hаrd tо sсаrе pеоplе by mеаns оf а mоviе, Pеоplе tеnd tо mеntаlly prеpаrе thеmsеlvеs whеn gоing fоr а hоrrоr fliсk. Thе оnly wаy tо sсаrе pеоplе is еithеr suddеn аppеаrаnсе оf thе sсаry thing оr suddеn viоlеnt аttасk by thе sсаry thing, Ееriе musiс/Sоund еffесts аnd lаst but nоt thе lеаst Lighting. Thе mоst irritаting thing I find in thе mоviе hаll during а hоrrоr fliсk is whеn pеоplе stаrt mаking fun оf а sсаry situаtiоn, thаt kills thе whоlе mоmеnt. Аnywаy, my fаvоuritеs аrе: 'Thе Ring'- Thе pаrt whеn thе mоthеr оpеns thе сlоsеt tо find hеr dаughtеr dеаd. 'Ехоrсism оf Еmily Rоsе'- Thе pаrt whеn Еmily's bоy friеnd wаkеs up tо find hеr оn thе flооr in а frightеning pоsе stаring аt him.

Exorcism if Emily Rose is definitely ine of them. I find plenty if parts un that movie terrifying, not terrifying in a sense where I want to pee my pants but in a reality sense.
There us a movie I watched the other night that I had forgotten about called The Possession. For those who haven't seen it, it is about a girl who finds a box at a garage sale with Hebrew writing all over it. Long story short it has a dibbuk(spelling) in it. It finds the host of a young innocent, pure soul to take over. One of the most freaked out parts is where she is in the bathroom and takes a flashlight to look down her throat, as she does two fingers emerge up out of the back. There are many many more, for those who read thus and have not seen I do not want to spoil anymore but it is definitely worth watching.

I'm a huge fan of horror movies so to me it's hard to say the one that tops my long list. Recently I saw this movie called The Babadook which I found really good. It was more of a psychological horror than pure horror, portraying a woman who was dealing with depression and a boy that was not so easy to handle. It included this monster called Babadook that was haunting them both. I really recommend that one!

Hello everyone, I have watched this one before. I was having hardships at home and my children and I went and stayed with my aunt. She got rid of dish and got a different tv and whatever she had included netflix and some other services on it. Anyway I finally got my kids to bed at sat in the dark and decided to pick out a movie. Being a horror fan I figured "ya whatever", boy was I wrong
I don't even know how the movie ends(can you tell me), you are right about it being psychological. Being a mother and actually being in that position before(no father for the children) it got me thinking... Then I let it get out of control because it was dark and I could not finish
It was Pretty far in the movie; it was night time, the mom just woke up and went in the kitchen and grabbed a knife. I dont remember what happened after that..

Considering that about 90% of my movie collection is based on horror or thrillers, this should be easy. Im a huge fan of Rob Zombie and his work, so my all time favorite is House of 1,000 Corpses, followed by Devil's Rejects. Lords of Salem was a little heavy for me, but I enjoyed it. Michael Meyers has always spooked me too. It's the blank expression that bothers me.

I love the Saw movies as well. The traps are intense! They just get more and more gruesome, but I love it!

Well, I have watched 100s of good horror movies. It's difficult to choose the best one but I would give the rating of 10/10 to Friday the 13th series. This movie series is one of the best horror series out there. The characters of the movie are awesome. My favourite character is Jason (the main). The Babadook (2014) is my second favourite. I really love the horror movies.

Exorcism of Emily Rose is also one of my favorites, even though I don't really watch movies much. You should try the japanese horror genre it's less gory but in my opinion, much more scary. Ringu, Suicide Club and One Missed Call are my recommendations.

I am higly agree with you, I am not a really big fan of horror movies but that one got me really scared the first time I watched it, it is such a good movie even when the majority of horror movies suck, that one was lit, for real, I recommend it to anyone who would like to watch a good horror movie.

My favorite horror movie is the 90's version of House On Haunted Hill. I really like a horror movie that makes me jump and that has realistic graphics. I also enjoyed the plot of this movie. The ending was not as good as it should have been, but it wasn't terrible. I have never seen the original, I think it was from the 50's, but I would like to compare the two some day.

I'm a big fan of horror movies and some of my best are Evil Dead, Wrong Turn and Saw. They scare me to death but I like scary things considering that they aren't real. I also love to watch anything to do with zombies, exorcism or vampires.

I too liked the House on the Haunted Hill. I am a fan of horror movies and I watch them a lot however, I rarely get scared to be honest.

I'm a big fan of horror movies as well and I have watched tons of horror movies. Some of my favorites are The Descent, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Shining, Evil Dead, Drag Me to Hell, The Grudge, Shutter, Coming Soon and a lot more :) I like watching them at night but don't have the guts to watch alone since I'm too scared.

Hellraiser. I will give Audition runner- up. I liked Insidious until the ending, but I dislike gorn films like Hostel. If I could recommend a movie it would be I think Rec - the Spanish version or Circuit - the Japanese version. But no get Rec because it's a great movie and the ending is horrifying.

I love the walking dead myself that's the best one yet that I've come across so far.
