I was sort of confused by the site, does it require you to buy FaucetBox tokens and hold them for a certain time period in order to receive faucet payments?

No, you can claim the faucets without buying anything, each faucet has a different timer for claims.

Yep, but where do you even check your balance. I claimed for a day and it seemed to reset.

In the menu (three things above), go to wallet and all it's there, what shows up in the home page is just your 24h gains.
