Scammers are using clever strategies to steal people's bitcoin and this time they're using Elon Musk and his company SpaceX to carry out scams around the internet. They're running fake ads telling people to send Elon their bitcoin in his unique bitcoin address and in return they will get a gift or something like that. And it's easy for people to fall into these traps and already scammers have collected around $2 million by making these fake accounts. Be careful on the internet guys!

Scammers are always devising new ways of scamming people I hope people haven't been scammed get to read this and become careful to avoid future scam of this nature. People just needs to be careful

Nah, making an impostor account of a famous people and then try to scam public by promoting something in the name of that person is kinda old already.

Yeah, it's kind of an old scam, but a lot of people still fall for this type of scam, many people are just looking for free money on the Internet

Mainly because people are dumb, greedy or the target is kids who don't know much about internet scam and the value of money. It's a worrying trend.

Could it be that these personalities are not easily updated or have associates to inform them when impersonation takes place on the internet so that they can debunk it before people fall victim .

This is actually a very old method, they just keep using it based on what event is on the trend (SpaceX in this case), they even claim they are ISP or taxes collecting agencies

Famous people are often time busy, so they don't have time to dealwith scam like this. Some did warn people, but often times, it's already too late. Shows that people are dumb.

I know they are busy, but they could asign media aids to checkmate their activities especially if they had experience on what scammer are up to. Lots of people might have fall victim of this be it bitcoin or not.

It is better they begin to hire atleast to create jobs for the unemployed and also for their safety and integrity online as scammers unleash new strategies online daily

I saw this advertisement and wanna add some extra point I also saw a youtube live video which tells that 50000 bitcoins giveaway by jackma but first we must send them some amount of a bitcoin to their wallets
so I think this is also is a scam be careful mates

It's not they are busy that much as you can imagine ( elon musk personally keeps posting memes ), but there is no use to sue someone using your name because you know that people won't believe him in 99% of the cases, also some rich guy like elon musk won't waste his time in a court with some poor dude claiming thats him

Already as a person who is not new to bitcoin and it activities , you will already know that this is pure scam and no need.to.waste your time. If jackma can give 50,000 bitcoin to 100 people I doubt if he won't feel the heat.

Well, I wouldn't call Elon as not busy just because he still has some time to upload all those memes. One can simply take meme from other sites and then reupload it on Twitter under a minuter after all.

Thanks for the information .
The major reason why people fall to this kind of internet scam is greed , people are too greedy that , they will jump into any enticing opportunity without checking , if it is feasible or not .

No, this time it's not greed. Fans of famous people are like sheep. They tend to do whatever their celeb ask of them. That's why they fall into this kind of trap.

I think he has his own PA to manage his social media accounts. That guy is so busy he even sleeps in his office.

It's like his second home.

Well these kind of scans are getting more popular nowadays in cryptocurrency world. Scammers even ask for the private key if a wallet lol. I don't think anyone is so stupid to giveaway his personal information
