Honestly, what's going on with facebook lately? 6 years ago, they havent acting up like this, asking for ID verification and must use a real life name in order not to get block or unblock? I never know that facebook has getting ridiculous until 3 months later. I like to make a fake account as i dont have to rely on making friends in it. Just enough to comment on a necessary post or updating some status which they will often claims it as a suspicious activities. What do you think on facebook now? Have you validated your ID in order to continuosly using it?

Facebook has lot of anti spam checks. And now they pay attention to you if you post too many links. Or post fast replies. And also do other spam specific activity. And in such cases repeating the activity leads to they banning the account. And to revive the account, they require documentation. So ID and other stuff is what they want. For this reason many people left facebook.

I forgot that..but when you mentioned it. Do they really know what is a spam is? Weird enough, there are a lot of bot's spam seems to be spamming in facebook yet they never really cared about it. Asking for ID is a whole new level. Wont that be a violation of privacy stuff?

I have no idea about it because I have never experienced it. But of course, we need to be aware. Facebook might be going stricter rules to prevent cyber crimes. If that's the only case. But my problem with Facebook is privacy. It seems we are losing privacy from time to time.

Yeah, that is the huge problem we are having. I do not really think that their privacy's attack on the user has any real reason because they are not a government to do so. It is pretty dangerous. I heard a lot about them selling their user's collected data to the third party which is why i am getting concerned on facebook's behaviour lately. Five years ago, they were fine as it is.

I think they must have their own set of checks for the facebook spam check. For example bitly urls are not allowed on the facebook anymore. So theya re going to be not allowing such URLs. So that can be one thing to watch out in that case. That being said you may have to check what happened to your case. ID documents means someone reported your account to be fake.

I see. Nah, it cannot be just that as a reason. They told me that they have detected a suspicious activities or wanting me to have a more secured account, they said. I know that because i have created so many accounts lately just to bypass this strictment but it can never hold long enough. I was so hooked up on facebook that when i have known that my account got blocked, i felt so empty.

There are lots of privacy settings that seem to help though.

I think it's good have such strict rules on Facebook, to feel more safe to browser and reduce many frauds that were going on right now. It will be much easier to find if someone trying to misguide others with fake Facebook id's. We feel much safe and secure in building relationships even. So I think it is a good idea to have such rules.

Agreed. I don't mind the changes / rules that Facebook has since its way better for its users. Its a place where many people share photos and information and in my opinion it needs to be really strict.

You should report when you see such trash posts in future. Thanks!
I think that's not blank posts. Some members do reply and accidentally type in between of the quoted posts, thus they seemed so blank. They can't just undo it because of no edit button I think.

I think there is Edit button and they can easily edit if they want to.

@Mysticallady I experienced that as well. Actually a friend of me wanted to open a New facebook account on a unreal name and facebook kept asking the real name and also the picture and say they will delete this pic from all servers. My God, I was thinking that this is not facebook and some kind of FBI website or other. Even PayPal does not want you to verify that much lol. Well I am sorry to know about your bad experience.

I am sorry on what your friend has to experience on the infamous facebook. I experienced it a lot with all my fake account i have created to bypass this but failed. They asked me to provide a clear selfie of myself and an ID with a promised that they will deleted it. Once you submit it, your account will be permanently blocked by facebook with no reason. I have tried submitting my photo but they ended up blocking my account forever! Urgh that is why i am no longer interested to make a genuine facebook account anymore.

I haven't experienced this at all on facebook, and its sad you have to be a victim, however i can only say that facebook is only trying to protect its members from various con artist, spammer and cyber attack. with the global awareness of technology, making things easier and also making crime achievable , one needs to be ahead of the game at all times. if your intentions are genuine you could easily contact the customer care and complain, a friend of mine also almost got swindled on facebook, so reported cases are increasing and facebook is trying to take precaution.

But they cant saved their user from scammer and spammer, ironically. Even if they have a good intention in the first place, why would they go as far as to ask for an ID? Isnt selfie verification is enough already to show who you are? They can do plenty of ways but they chose this path instead.

Actually, there's no reason to be alarmed if you're not doing anything bad or illegal on Facebook. They even require you to input your phone number to validate your account. And if one is serious on his facebook account and stuff, I think it's not that bad at all.
